"Wow I'm-"Joey yawned largely, his arms outstretched with his hands in fists. He rubbed his eyes with the back of his palm and pretending to be exhausted he finished "going to go to sleep." Lauren had left upstairs not but 5 minutes ago, and he didn't want to be THAT obvious. He mumbled something incoherently to the brunette sitting cross legged, humongous bowl of popcorn propped in between her legs who was staring intently at the screen. Meredith had watched Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire and least three thousand times, but still, every time that wizard came on screen nothing else mattered. "Alrig-YOUR WAND HARRY!" She yelled, angrily shoving her over-buttered popcorn in her mouth. Her brown hair that was messily shoved into a bun bounced. "Maybe Holden should've played harry if you're giving him that much attention." The words had barely escaped his mouth as he began to dodge the incoming popcorn. "Your aim's off, Mere." And with that he scurried up the steps leading into his and Lauren's bedroom.
Cracking open the door, Joey covered his eyes dramatically, "May I come in Miss?" His crooked smile could be seen for miles even with the dim lighting. "No." Lauren responded, playfulness icing into her softly spoken word. "That's what I thought." And with that Joey closed the door softly behind him, rounding the plush bed he landed next to her and kissed her cheek. "Then again I might have to reconsider" the petite girl smiled broadly and turned sideways, now completely facing the brown-eyed boy. There's eyes connected and each one held a specific mischievous glint to it, nerving as it was Joey couldn't help but grin again. "that's also what I thought." Before she could even form a comeback his lips brushed softly against hers. Even so, they could both feel the smile playing at the others lips. Tired as they may be, there was always time to smile. Finally, they broke apart and joey's lopsided smirk appeard again. "Then again this is technically my house, so I could kick you out…" Lauren fake pouted, her lower lip jutting out drastically. Even when she was frowning it was still adorable. He flicked her lip playfully, "begging will get you…" he paused as if he had to think of what to say he rolled his head around like he was stumped. "everywhere." His shoulders shot up then down saying 'what can you do?' as he cupped Lauren's chin in his massive hands, kissing her tenderly.
"That's what I thought" she whispered gleefully, the air of smugness clinging to her every syllable. They smiled again, in unison. As one. Lauren nudged him in his shoulder and rested her head on the pillow once again. "Night Richter." Joey laughed softly, only she could make his last name sound like a joke and also like the world's sweetest word. He wrapped his arms tight around her and kissed her arm. "night Lo."
