The cries and gargles from the babies filled the maternity ward where he sat twiddling his thumbs. His wife has went into an early labour after collapsing in the supermarket, the nurses told him that his wife and child would be safe but he could see in their eyes that they were not entirely sure if his young family would survive it. He kept his sprits high by imagining his son running around the garden of their family home whilst his wonderful wife molly would sit by his side whilst they watched their son grow and become absolutely amazing. Just at that moment the nurse came running through and that moment he realised the sadness in the man's eyes, a tear trickled down his face as he realised his wife was gone. No words were exchanged between the men, but he knew. The next person to come out of the room where his wife sat was a women holding a small bundle of pink, PINK, he looked confused but didn't say anything just took the baby from the nurse.

"It's a girl!" the nurse said quietly

"A...a girl" he said whilst smiling so brightly, all thought of his wife left his head as he stared down at his beautiful baby girl. He slowly realised that he had to be brave for his little girl, as he stared at her big brown eyes he decided that he would watch her grow up to be as beautiful and smart as his wife."I am going to be brave for you. "He said to little girl he held in his arms. "Your mummy was beautiful, just like you." Just then he women came out again and sat beside him.

"What are you going to call her?" she asked

"I am going to name her after her mother. Molly Hooper!" he looked down at his daughter. "And I am going to watch you grow up and be...fantastic" but Paul Hooper never got to see his daughter grow up, he died when molly was only 12, cancer. Molly grew up alone, she was moved from care home to care home and then finally she escaped from the wretched families she had to endure and she did what her father told her to do. She was fantastic.

And now molly sat at his grave 20 years later. "Dad if you can hear me...I want you to know that you don't need to worry...I am not alone anymore." Molly said whist she held the hand of her husband,

"Mr Hooper, you should be so proud of your wonderful daughter" Sherlock looked down at molly. "I will love her and be brave for her...always"
