In the End

Master Splinter opened his eyes after he finished meditating. Well, he decided that he was finished when his sons, whom were all out in the living room, decided to make a racket. He let out a sigh as he slowly stood up and grabbed his walking cane.

Let's see what troubles my sons now, he thought as he slowly walked out his room doorway. He paused as he watched what was taking place on the living room couch. Raphael, his always hotheaded son, was on top of Michelangelo, his always joke loving son, who was lying on his stomach, trying to reach for what seemed to be the television remote. Donatello, his most intelligent and gentle son, had the redhead by the back of the shirt, trying his hardest to pull him off the blond. Wise eyes glanced over, searching for his most calm and reserved son. He spotted him standing a few feet away from his brothers, arms folded and head shaking in shame.

"Guys, give it a break. It's Sunday night. There's nothing on television anyways," he heard Leonardo say exhaustedly.

"But there's a superhero movie I wanna watch!" Michelangelo yelped, as Raphael wrapped an arm around his neck, putting him in a headlock.

"I ain't watching some stupid superhero movie. There's wrestling on!" Raphael yelled, pulling his brother's head back.

"No! No stupid wrestling. There's a genetic documentary on tv that I've been waiting all week for!" Donatello said, still pulling Raphael's shirt back.

Leonardo let out a long, agonized sigh. Splinter's eyes followed him as he walked around the back of the couch and stopped in front of his younger brothers. The three of them stopped as the oldest reached down and picked up the precious remote. Three heads moved up, all eyes focused on their target. They stopped when they saw the evil smirk on the black haired man's face.

"Well, lookie here. It seems like I have the remote, the thing you children wanted so badly. And now, since I have it, I control it. And along with it, the television. So I say we watch The Last Samurai," he finished with a big grin.

Yells of annoyance and anger came from his brothers, but that didn't falter Leonardo's grin. He calmly shook his head and waved the remote around.

"Nope, those are the rules. I got the remote, meaning I got the tv," he said.

Three yells of attack were heard as the younger brothers jumped up from the pile on the ground and tackled their oldest brother to the ground. Soon four voices were loudly yelling out words that made Splinter's ears fold back. He sighed in exhaustion as he turned his back to the dog pile in front of the television and headed for the kitchen.

As he filled his tea cup with hot green tea, a smile appeared on his face. It seems as though his sons were finally showing their normal selves once again. He had been greatly worried before on how his boys would deal with such a great change of turning human. As he raised his cup to his face and breathed in the relaxing aroma, he shut his eyes, the smile on his face turning peaceful. He was happy to see that everything ended well.
