This is just something that popped into my mind one day, because I haven't visited my Animal Crossing town in a while. O_O

Screaming. That's the first thing I hear when I exit my house. The villagers run wild across the town, screaming frantically. I strain my eyes, trying to look for them. It's no use. The weeds have spread all over town, they sway in the breeze, blocking everything from view.

The screaming of the villagers has gotten to me. I run towards the museum, panicked, my usual place of solitude. There, I skid to a halt as I see Blathers, wide awake and blinking in the sunlight.

My breath comes in pants as my brain registers that the eccentric owl is nocturnal; he shouldn't be awake in the morning. I back away from him slowly, and scramble down the flight of stairs that lead to the café.

There. I see them. Celeste and Brewster. Talking. My eyes widen in disbelief. He's serving her coffee! Those two never talk. Ever.

The next thing I know, I'm running towards Nookington's seeking refuge from the craziness that consumes my life. I stumble into his shop to find that lively raccoon I once knew has two heads. I think he offers me a two for one special, but I don't hear. I'm headed towards Town Hall, gasping for air.

I burst into through the doors of the Town Hall, the screams of the villagers still ringing in my ears. My eyes catch a flash of pink. There, in the corner, I see Phyllis and Pete. Pete! How could he? He has a wife! Before they can register my presence, I scurry out of there.

I'm still thinking about how upset Pelly must be when the bus to the city arrives. Capp'n, usually so lively and happy is a spine-chilling shade of gray today. I wait in silence as he drives me to town.

Thunderclouds. That's what first comes to mind when I step off the bus and walk up to the Plaza of the City. There's no one there except me and the two sisters, Mable and Sable. There's an eerie silence as I make my way towards Gracie Grace's, the porcupines trailing behind me.

I walk in, enjoying being in the presence of rich, expensive clothing. It's a nice change from everything I've seen back at the Town. Shouts. My eyes fly open as I realize that Mable and Sable, usually so quiet are shouting accusations at the store clerk.

Sisters! Of course, they must be sisters. Mable and Sable seem surprised, angry. They're shouting about how the store clerk is their long lost sister and how she left them to live in a dump.

My brief feeling of security is gone. I race out of the store and get back to town. And that's when my eyes almost roll back into my head.

There's a fire scouring the Town, burning up all of the weeds. The only thing I can think of now is that I've been punished for not taking care of my Town, and now Hell has descended upon me.

Then I hear it. Laughter amidst the screams. Maniacal laughter. I run towards the sound, which leads me to Gaston's home. The windows are broken open, and I peer inside to find Redd stealing all of the deep-voiced bunny's personal possessions.

My head is spinning. This is where Redd gets his black market items. He steals them from the villagers. That's the last thought in my mind before I succumb to the smoke of the fire.
