Working Title: Protective Measures
Summary: Hyuuga Hiashi decides after his twin dies to protect his daughter he'll do anything to keep his niece from being used by the rest of the family even if that means striking her from the family and sending her mothers only distant living family. Even if that family is Hatake Kakashi who's only 16, and making sure she's married into Inuzuka when she comes of age so the family can't ever use her.

When Hyuuga Hiashi woke, his world wasn't any better then before his brother had knocked him out. If he was honest with himself it was worse, his brother was dead when he should be dead. Neji his niece was parent-less, while his own daughter had two healthy living parents. But what worried him most was with no parents and being a branch house member the family council had full say in what Neji would do in life. If she'd become a ninja or remain a civilian, how she'd be schooled, who she'd marry.
Who'd she marry… his mouth went dry, she wasn't full blooded Hyuuga her mother had been an outsider and a very successful kunoichi which meant if Neji had talent in the family's bloodline and clan jutsu, she'd have a short ninja career before being force to retire and become some most likely much older main branch's wife, to better the gene pool of the clan. This made him nauseous she'd never be able to fight back if her husband mistreated her with the caged bird seal.
It didn't matter he was head of the family and her uncle she was branch and he's have little sway over them to let Neji do as she please and marry who she wanted when the time came. This is why he'd wanted to die for his daughter she was the heir she didn't need her father alive as much as her cousin needed hers. He cursed his father, this was his fault if he hadn't brought up using Hizashi, Neji would be safe from the council.
