Hey.

So here is a short poem from me. Enjoy.

...

Moonlight filled the darkened hall,

Candle light, the leaver's ball,

Girls in long and floaty gowns,

Boys look like they'd rather drown.

Music fills the vast expanse,

Various couple start to dance.

But still, some would rather talk,

Stand with friends or take a walk,

Round the schools extensive grounds,

Flirting, Kissing, holding hands.

Teachers watch with shocked expressions,

As pupils act without discretion,

Love struck couples slip away,

They might regret this night, next day.

She stands alone, her friends dancing,

They have partners, nobody's glancing

In her direction, she waits for someone

To seem to care, but no one comes.

She doesn't see his cautious stare

The way he longs for her to care

Then, building up his courage, he

Walks around the swaying sea

Of bodies dancing on the floor,

To reach her, the girl he used to abhor,

And ask her to share with him one song,

And it feels so right, but she knows it's wrong.

Still she steps into his arms,

Can see the shock and near alarm,

In the eyes of friends and even foes,

They know how deep her hatred goes.

Or at least it did, some time ago,

But recently, like winter snow,

When sun appears, her heart had thawed,

And found her old logic was flawed.

She needed him to make her whole,

And longed for him with heart and soul.

And so his attentions she welcomes,

Lets him hold her, the dance goes on,

And soon one song becomes another,

And they are spinning, joined together,

That beautiful night none will forget,

The night she forgot past regret.

She stood in her lovers arms that night,

And both, forever, gave up their fight.
