Basically a short on Piccolo and Gohan. One sitting. Woo. (kinda dumb. but meh.)

r&r if you can, love y'all and have a good day.

Growing up, he had a lot of trouble in his family.

But he always had me.

And I thought it was fine.

Until his mother sat him down.

And explained to him what it was to have a father.

"Gohan, I want you to know that you have the most wonderful father in the whole whole. But just because he isn't here sometimes doesn't mean anything. You still need to follow his moral example. And be a good boy, okay?"

I didn't understand where this came from, but it was kind of weird... Gohan looked confused as well.

"When your father decided not to come back from Namek, that was his decision. Even when he decided to fight in the Cell Games...But he's still your father and...and you need to know...you...Piccolo. How long are you going to stand in front of my sons' bedroom window?! Are you some sort of pervert?!"

I revealed an expression of absolute astonishment (not that I had wanted to).

I was a large, green, turbaned alien, yes, but never in my life had I been called a pervert. Especially not by someone I knew.

"I- I thought we would train together." I tried to keep my cool, but usually Goku was around when Chichi lost it. If she instills fear in Son Goku, I didn't want to know what she would do to me.

"Well, as you can see, I'm talking to my son right now, so I'd appreciate it if you'd leave."

"I won't bother you, I'll just wait here."

"You don't need to."

"I'm just watching over Gohan." I wasn't sure of my error; Chichi's anger seemed quite unwarranted.

"He doesn't need two dads!"

"What?" I did not understand what she said.

"What? You think he does?!"

"No, I mean, maybe? What is it? Dads?" Where did this come from?

"Da..." Chichi looked like she had given up something; I'll never understand women.

Gohan turned to me "Dads are fathers."

I looked back at Chichi "Why would you imply that I am a father to Gohan? I had no participation in his...conception."

"I meant that he doesn't need to be raised by you."

"I do not raise him. You do. I only train him and teach him what I think he should know."

"That's the same as raising someone, Piccolo."

"I thought that includes feeding and caring for the offspring? I do not do that."

"Then why are you watching over Gohan?"

"Just in case he is put in danger."

"And why would that matter to you?" Chichi put on a knowing smile.

"I trained him to conquer the world with me, I do not want that to go to waste."

"I see." Chichi replied curtly.

"Yes."

"I guess you don't see yourself as a caregiver for him? As a dad?"

"Not at all."

"Right."

Gohan slowly stood up. "Um. Mother?"

"Yes, sweety?" she replied absentmindedly.

"Can I go train with Piccolo?"

"Go ahead."

"Right then...Um. Bye."

"Bye. Be safe..." She stay sitting on the bed, a mix of lethargy and confusion settled on her face.

We flew off in the distance and we waited until we were a great deal away before we ventured to speak.

"That was peculiar." I say.

"Yeah..."

And we flew further and further, and trained until dusk.

Literally a 20 minute blurb, haha.
