Jellal lay on his bed, face flushed with fever. He was sweating profusely and letting out great hacking coughs. It was the most miserable cold he ever had. After hours of suffering like this he finally fell asleep, but even in his dreams he could receive no rest. His crimson tattoo burned like a star leaving him in agony. In his dream, a tall blue haired man approached him. It was himself, or someone looking like him.

"Who are you?" stuttered Jellal.

"I am you, not," the figure joked then said, "I am the demon that was sealed by your tattoo, but the seal has disappeared because you are weak with fever. Now we have to settle the matter of ownership of this body. Fight me and if you win I'll lend you my power, and if you lose then you be locked out of the body and I will have control."

"I will not force anyone to serve me. I whose sins are as numberless as the stars in the sky have no right to force anyone to do anything, except to stop committing evil."

"Then feel the weight of your sins and sink into oblivion."

Jellal bucked under a great pressure that was placed on his back. He almost sank to his knees but quickly got up. The demon looked surprised and Jellal quickly explained, "I have already learned to live the burden of my sins. You cannot break me through them."

"Then feel my sins upon that," the demon roared and a greater pressure was exerted upon Jellal's back. He buckled under the pressure and sank to his knees and kept sinking further and further down. The darkness was like quicksand, swallowing him whole. He struggled to stay up but to no avail. Just as he was about to sink to the darkness a voice like silvery bells said to him in a musical voice, "What are you doing Jellal. If you are a man get up. Did you not want to redeem your sins? Then you definitely cannot disappear here."

Jellal looked up to see Erza offering him her hand. He took it gratefully and struggled to reach his feet but he still couldn't get up. "Oh, how lost you are without me Jellal," a dark haired woman shook her head, "You're like a newborn chick. Must I always save you from yourself?" Despite these harsh words though Ultear was smiling.

"Why is it that whenever I'm in trouble the two most important women in my life come to save me?"

"Jellal, don't put it like that," Erza blushed. Even if it was only a dream, she was so cute it made him grin.

"How else could I put it for Ultear, you dragged me out of the darkness and Erza you showed me the light."

Ultear just rolled her eyes and said, "Stop trying to embarrass Erza, Jellal, not after that stupid, I have a fiancé lie you pulled on her."

"Well, I, um…" Jellal fumbled as he tried to find a way to end the conversation gracefully.

The demon was tapping his foot impatiently, "Hello, big epic mind battle with me for control of the body here?"

Oh, right, right, sorry," said Jellal, before approaching the demon and asking, "Anymore tricks?"

"No I kind of already used my ace. But I'll fight you for eternity if I have to for this body."

"No need," said Jellal with a smile. "How about we co inhabit the body? As long as you oppose dark guilds with me I don't mind working out a body sharing schedule."

"Great," said the demon, "Can I start now, I have something urgent to do?"

"Yeah sure what?" asked Jellal.

"Well, I may be a demon, but I'm also a man and as a man I have certain needs, do I need to go any further…?" The demon half joked.

Both Jellal and Erza blush a deep shade of red and Ultear and the demon laughed in unison. "I like this guy," chuckled Ultear, "He has a great sense of humor."

Jellal woke up with a splitting head ache, fever gone and an annoying voice in his head. He groaned. He so did not look forward to explaining to Ultear that he saw her in his dream. She would never shut up about it.
