This fanfiction is based off of a theory I had while playing the game, this is the basis to it.
When Link pulled the powerless Master Sword from the pedestal Hyrule was reawakened.
if Hyrule was reawakened everything is back, including the civilians.
The backstory of Wind Waker never states that everyone in Hyrule died, only 'left their fate to the gods'.
this is my OCs fate.

-Prologue: Awakening of the Ancient Realm-
The young boy clothed in green walked toward the sword that rested in the pedestal.
"That is the very blade used to seal Ganon away, the Blade of Evils Bane!" the Voice coming from the Stone in his back pocket said. The monochrome color of everything in the room was rather off putting. As the boy clenched his hands around the hilt of the blade he began to pull, eventually he pulled the blade out. The blade of the sword the boy was holding shimmered in the dull light of the room, soon after the large statues of knights surrounding the floor that the pedestal started to move, they lowered their swords to that they interlocked and formed a ring around the light that shone onto the Blade of Evils Bane. Soon color came flooding back, gray, white and black turned into red, blue, yellow, and all other colors as everything became the way it was before Hyrule was sealed away. "Now, we must leave for the surface! To the Forsaken Fortress!" the Voice coming from the Stone said once more. The boy clothed in the green of fields nodded enthusiastically and left the room in which the Blade of Evils Bane formerly rested in.
Meanwhile...another thing besides Hyrule began to awake...
