Sabrina stood awkwardly among her family in JFK airport. Her mother was fiercely hugging Uncle Jake, and Daphne was clinging to the poor man's leg. She'd already hugged her Uncle goodbye, and was waiting for everyone else to do the same. Man, she was going to miss him.

A hand fell on her shoulder and she turned to see who it belonged to. Puck.

"Hey, Grimm, can I talk to you over here for a second?" The boy nodded to an empty alcove a few yards away.

She glanced back at her family. Both of her parents were fussing over Uncle Jake. Daphne was watching, but she winked at her sister. Sabrina shrugged and followed Puck over.

They stood facing each other a few feet apart. She crossed her arms over her chest. He clutched the strap of his carry-on. They were both silence.

This wasn't supposed to happen. Sabrina wasn't supposed to be struggling to find words to say. She was supposed to say something along the lines of, "See you in a few months, stinkbrain," and turn away without looking back. But standing here with him, there was a lump in her throat. Even if there hadn't been, she wasn't so sure she would be able to say it anyway.

His leaving wasn't supposed to hurt like this. It wasn't supposed to cause her physical pain. There wasn't supposed to be this throbbing pain in her chest that made her heart fell like it was going to explode. She wasn't supposed to want to cry at the thought of not getting pranked for a long time. She wasn't supposed to know that she'd miss his insults and jabs. Miss throwing them right back.

She opened her mouth, because she felt like one of them should speak. "Puck… I…" She wasn't quite sure how to finish, though.

Thankfully, he made it so that she didn't have to. He stepped forward and pressed his lips to hers. He knuckles were white around the strap of his bag. Her fingernails dug into her own forearms.

This kiss wasn't the same as the first one. It was nervous, not forced and somewhat rude.

Sabrina eventually recovered from her shock. She leaned into him, momentarily knocking him backwards. To balance the two of them out, she wrapped her arms around his neck. He wrapped his around her torso.

He pulled back first, but didn't let go of her. She rested her head on his shoulder, unable to hold back the tears anymore.

"As much as I hate to admit it," he choked out, "I think I'm gonna miss you, Grimm."

"Same here, fairyboy." She laughed a little bit and wiped her eyes on the fabric of his shirt.

Daphne ran over and tugged on her sister's arm. "Dad alert. Abort mission."

Puck gave her one final squeeze and stepped back, swiping a stray tear off her cheek as he did do.

"You've got to go," Henry said, clapping Puck on the back.

The boy nodded and walked over to Jake. The older man held up his hand and Puck gave him a high five with a smile. The pair waved one more time and then turned, entering the line for security.

Veronica insisted that they wait until Jake and Puck got through. Once Puck had reclaimed his bag from the scanner, he turned back and saw them still standing there. He grinned at her, and raised both hands above his head.

"I'll be back, Grimm. And when I am, be ready for war!"
