I was bored with writing the same seven stories (that's right, seven at one time. Love me.) so... yeah. Wanted something fluffy, and one of my readers had asked for another oneshot. Neither of the characters' names are mentioned, but you can all probably guess who is who ;)

Disclaimer: I do not own Inuyasha. Though, this could be classified as not even an Inuyasha story. Take it as you will.

/~Coffee Shop~\

"Damn it!"

"I'm sorry sir-" the nervous coffee lady apologised.

"I'm sure you are." Was the growled response.

She frowned and tapped the man in front of her on the shoulder. "Excuse me."

He turned, pinning her with an angry glare, "What?"

She held out her hand, a shiny quarter resting there. If possible, his glare sharpened further and he turned up his nose.

"Thanks lady, but no thanks. Keep your charity."

"Twenty five cents isn't charity." She replied cooly. "It's an act of good will. Good for the karma and all."

"I said keep your money-" He snapped. "-and your karma for someone who cares."

The girl glared right back then swiftly slipped around him, slapping the quarter on the counter and smiling at the coffee lady. "Hi. Can I get a grande-"

"Hey! I said to keep your money!" She waved him off absently and dug out her own money, handing it to the lady before walking to the end of the counter to pick up the already made tea drink. She took a sip then smiled in bliss. Ah... caffeine. Her only friend this early in the morning.

Walking over to a nearby table, she sat down and braced her elbows on the fake wood surface to take a long sip of her drink. There was a loud squeak and when she lowered her cup, there was the rude man sitting there, his drink in hand and glare in place.

"Yes?" she asked and he didn't waver.

"I said to keep your money."

She shrugged. "And I ignored you."

"But I didn't want you to!"

"Ah, the wonders of not caring." She sighed, taking another sip.

"You can't just go throwing around money like that! Now I owe you a favour!" he seethed. "I hate owing people!"

"Hate is such a strong word..." she muttered whimsically, taking one last sip of her tea before looking down at her wristwatch and standing. "It's been nice talking with you."

The man growled and also stood. "Wait a minute!"

With a sigh, she turned and put a hand on her hip. "Yes?"

"I owe you something now. What do you want? Nothing outrageous, okay? I don't have enough to buy even a stupid coffee..."

"You could open the door for me." He looked at her weirdly. "What?" she asked.

"'Open the door'?"

She shrugged with one shoulder and nodded. "Sure."

They stood in silence for a moment before he grumbled under his breath and walked ahead of her, opening the door. She smiled and walked past him. "Why, thank you!" she chirped with a wave, turning to walk down the sidewalk.

He stood there for a moment, still holding the door open for other people who he took no notice of, watching her go. Her ponytail bounced as she walked, her pristine business suit looking out of place on a woman choosing to walk down the street.

His frown deepened. He stood for a moment longer before he huffed and shouted after her, running to catch up, "Hey! Wait up!"

Little did they know, he may have opened a door to a coffee shop for her; but she had opened the door to a possibility for them.
