Disclaimer: I don't own them.

Just my interpretation of AquilaLorilei's request from ShipperTalk: "Imagine your OTP sneaking out of their wedding reception to, ahem, "start the honeymoon early" and then sneaking back in later trying to pretend like nothing happened. The guests [at least a few of the more perceptive ones!] knew anyway and the couple spends the rest of the party giggling and blushing like the lovesick fools they are."

The speeches are done, the wine is flowing, and the dancing is in full swing. The bride and groom can be seen dancing near the balcony, their eyes only for each other. It's been millennia since Olympus has seen a wedding this spectacular. Watching the attention the groom is showing to his bride, the secret smiles, and the low laughter; it brings me memories of that last wedding. It had taken countless arguments, so many lies and hurts for us to finally admit that what we felt for each other was anything other than hate. I'll admit that out of the two I was of course the most stubborn, I didn't trust myself back then, at least not when it came to my heart.

I'm still watching them; they are slowly edging towards the darker part of the terrace. I can just imagine what he's up to and I smile as I turn to my other half, hoping to distract him further. It's not too difficult to manage; a sultry smile, a whispered invitation and he's taking me to the dance floor as a slow song starts up. I look back to the balcony to where my daughter and her new husband are kissing, and I am again taken back to my own wedding.

We were on that same balcony, but while our daughter was edging toward the covered alcove; Ares and I had moved towards the second balcony that lead back towards the throne room where the Ceremony took place. It was exciting sneaking out of the wedding, making our way to the closest secluded area: his parents' living room, practically falling on each other in haste. We had made love countless times, slow and fast, but that day it was different. I was his wife, something I had only fantasized about and kept well hidden even from myself. Even the way he kissed me felt different, it was as if we were making love for the first time again. It's still one of my most treasured memories, and we've now had millennia to make memories.

Afterwards we had gone back to the party, taking our time back on that balcony trying to make sure no one had missed us and enjoying a few more stolen moments. As we continue to dance I look around me to the magnificence of the ballroom, even after millennia it still takes my breath away. I catch Aphrodite's eye, she's absolutely fizzing with the buzz in the room. She looks towards to balcony as they move closer to us and laughs,

"Hey babe, looks like someone's take a page out of mom and dad's book and sneaking out!"

I just smile as Ares jerks his head in that direction, ready to soothe, I don't think he's ready just yet to let his little girl go, "They're married," I whisper as I lean in to kiss him, "They can do whatever they want now." I keep smiling as he lets out a long suffering sigh; his new son-in-law better keep the displays to minimum. At least until the next Olympian wedding.
