This was actually inspired by that one scene in Deathly Hallows Part 1 were Harry dances with Hermoine to cheer her up. That song - O Children by Nick Cave - was really helpful as well.

Dancing
Katara was sitting on the sofa, blankly staring ahead. Thoughts of Sozin's Comet circled through her brain, instantly filling her with dread and worry. What if they didn't make it? What if she never saw her father again? What if? What if?
She was so caught up in her own head that she didn't notice Zuko in front of her until he called out her name. The waterbender looked at him and felt something wet on trailing down her cheek. Was it rain? No, it was a tear, her own tear. She hadn't even noticed. Katara erased the traitorous water off her cheek and looked back at Zuko.
The firebender had his hand outstretched. She took it and he pulled her up with him. He took her other hand and started moving them back and forth in time with some kind of beat. What in the Spirits' names was he doing? She listened and faintly heard music playing in the other room. The Tsungi horn went of key and she heard her brother's voice above the noise. Zuko winced and Katara found herself laughing. This made him smile for some reason.
He pulled her close and let her go, in some sort of dancing. She followed along with him and met him move for every move. He twirled her around a few times and pulled her back to him. After a while he started to mess around with the dance and twirl himself around to to her. She found herself lost in the distraction and in his smile. Katara was even smiling a little bit. They turned together in time with the music and soon Zuko pulled her close and didn't let her go. his hand went to her waist and hers to his shoulder. He let their hands entwine together. She let her head rest against his shoulder and felt his chin on hers. They stepped around to the music being played by everyone else in the other room.
Zuko told her that everything was going to be alright and, in his arms, Katara couldn't help but believe him.
Remember to Smile :)
