After L's death along with Matt and Mello Near is now the new L, he have picked up all the cases that L is working on and solve. Like L Near spent the rest of his times in a quiet room with computer's and other electronic equipment along with documents and files of cases.
His life is indeed lonely but He keeps himself busy enough with work to barely notice it.
He does missed everyone sometimes but it is never good for a professional to display their affections and emotions, it gives the "noob"(as Matt called it) vibe and all.
His cellphone rings, he sigh and picked it up. "hello.. Yes... why not, I'll see you by then" he replied twirling his hair strand and hangs up. It was the wammy orphanage, inviting him to spent his break and join them for holidays celebrations.

It was about noon, the airport have just arrived in walks to and scan around to look for people from Wammy's house, using his quick scanning he found one in few second.
Near saw and recognize one of the Wammy's care taker and follows them to the black car taking them to him home.
It was quiet on the way back, he never really care for small talk or when it is not needed.
The only time that he was talking at unnecessary times is when Mello was around.
He hate to admit it, but Mello is the only person who pulls Near out of his comfortable and quiet shell.
Near looks out and enjoy the scenery, his thought were interrupted by the driver.
"We are hear sir" the caretaker opens the door for Near as he follows them to the house.

On his way there his eyes spot a girl who look like she is at her happiest moment as she socialize with other girls.
They went into Wammy's office.
"Ah, Near! Wellcome home" Roger looks up and smile at the boy.
"..."Near gives a small gesture that he heard roger but didn't show much affection.
"I Have someone for you to meet, this is your next successor.." Roger said as he turns away clicking on the machine to called for her in.
"I'll take a bit to find her, I'll bring out her files." He walks into the file cabinet places and undoing his lock combinations and keys. The files of all children's in the Wammy's house will always have first class security.
"here we are my boy, her information." Roger hand it over to so he could see her personal profile.

"Rooooooogerrrr~!" A girls voice getting closer to the door, she opens the door in a 'bam' manner. Near turns his head and remember it was the girl he notice when he was on the way to rogers office.
He feel like it was inappropriate to be holding someone's private information in front of them, so he put it down.
"Allie come here, I would like you to meet Near, Near this is Allie the topped ranked girl in Wammy's". Roger walks over the girl and extend his hands to Near.
"hello.." Near greeted her noticing her hair is pure black tied up in a side buns and few strands long enough to reach her chest with. The bun on the side of her head looks poffy.. If L was here he would be poking it.
"Hi there!" She smiles brightly looking up at him.
Her smile is so radiant and shining, Near felt like he would want to smile with her like Roger did. He held it in anyway, still locking himself from showing emotions and such.
"Allie why don't you show Near the new rooms we have While I continues my filing?" Roger insist and pushing the two young teens out of his office.

After he closed the door they both looks at each other and Allie gives an awkward smiles.
"I was going to say sure why not, before it was all weird now" She chuckled lightly.
"Come on, follow me!" she skips a few steps ahead and waits for Near.
As he follows her out to a lake and listening to the weird stories she tells about the things that happened at Wammys, Near wonder; how did she end up here, what is so special about her.
"So what do you think of this lake?" She interrupted his through and lean in closer to him smiles playfully.
"... Its ok" Near looks around and realized they were walking toward a small lake, from the looks of it. It was man made with kois and other type of fishes in it.
Near really wasn't paying attention to Allie much because his end up thinking about cases and problems so his mind didnt have to think about her, he didn't like that.
"NEAR!"Again she interrupted his thought and snapped him hack to reality, this time she yells really loud.
He turns around and realized he was falling into the pond "!"
She tried and grabs him but end up slipping on the mud as well.
They both end up falling into the lake together.

Near swims up to the edge and looks around for Allie, hopping she was alright. As he turns around to face the water she came up close to him quiet it behind his back. "BOO!" She gave him a splash while laughing.
Near turns around to look at her with his unsurprising face, teller her that she didn't do a good job of scaring him. As soon as he turned around his face indeed showed the surprise emotion.
Not from because he was scared but because she was wearing a white T-shirt which is now wet and clinging onto her body, hugging her curve and showing the color of her bra. It was a light pink bra with with frilly laces, He wanted to see the pattern of the laces but that would make him look like a perv so he decided to look away.
"sorry" she put both hands behind her back and looks down, even when you can see her you still have a feeling shes doing a very cute puppy face.
"N-no, it wasn't your fault." Near gives a little smile looking at her, He didn't know what's gotten into him but he feel like he didn't want to make her sad.
She looks up with a bight smile back, its so dazzling and fit her well.

"Erm.. I think we should both get out before we got into trouble, Its getting slightly grey" She looks up at the Skye.
"..." Near just nodded and they both got up and walks out of the lake realizing that it got colder.
"heh, it breezy" Allie said trying not to shiver but Near could tell shes cold.
"This is near my room.. If you don't mind coming in and drying off, unless you prefer walking all the way to the A's part of the building." He said with a straight face continuing to walk and not look back, smirking little.
"Sounds good" she hurried herself and follows Near.
