A/N: So I was lying in bed last night trying desperately to get to sleep, which wasn't happening when this little ditty popped into my head. I normally don't write stories, I just read them, but I couldn't pass this one up. So here is my first, and most likely last story for ya'll.
Disclaimer: I don't own a thing. But if I did, I sure as heck wouldn't be thinking of cancelling this wickedawesome show.
Lily walked down the hallway of the hotel with a bottle of water she had just purchased from the vending machine in her hand. As she wandered towards her room she noticed a couple on her left. She glanced over, then took a double take. It was Scotty and Charlene. She stopped outside their door, all three a little embarrassed.
"Oh, hi there, Detective Rush." Charlene said, as she and Scotty tried to make themselves decent.
"Uh, hi there, Charlene." Lily said, almost laughing at Scotty's flushed face.
Scotty was trying to button his shirt up, but was having some troubles. "We were just... uh..." he stumbled over words, attempting to think of an excuse Lily would buy.
"Oh, I was just pushing off so... g'night now." Charlene gave one last glance at Scotty before sauntering down the hallway.
"Uh, yeah, g'night." Scotty mumbled after her.
Lily was having trouble not laughing, and couldn't help poking fun at her friend. "Oh, you're just cheap Christmas trash, aren't you?" she joked, with a wink.
Scotty blushed some more, and attempted to explain himself, "Southern people are just so... friendly?"
"And you didn't want to come to Tennessee." Lily teased.
"Look, Lil, how 'bout we make a pact here?" Scotty said, hoping that she would get his meaning. She did.
"What happens is Nashville stays in Nashville?"
"Exactly that."
"Scotty Valens. Back in the saddle." Lily said, playfully poking Scotty on the chest. Then he did something unexpected. He grabbed her wrist as his other hand slipped around her waist, pulling her to him. Their faces were inches apart. Lily glanced at Scotty's lips, so close to her own, then met his chocolate brown eyes.
"You uh...you wanna take a ride on this cowboy, little lady?" he said with a smirk, wiggling his eyebrows seductively. Lily could smell his cologne, feel the heat radiating off his body. Her water bottle fell to the floor as the gap between their lips grew smaller and smaller. She could practically taste him. Her eyes closed as–
Lily shot straight up in bed. She glanced over at the clock, which illuminated the time – 3:17am. She shook her head and tried to clear her minds o thoughts of Scotty. Would she like the ride that cowboy? What's gotten into me? She wondered as she turned over to fall back asleep.
