I wrote several ficlets for a project thing I was linked to and I figured I'd throw them all on here for my own reference if nothing else. Not all of these pairings are even things I support, but here we go, in the order I wrote them (okay it seems I don't know how to write ficlets they're all kind of longer than they should be oops).

- Gokudera/Tsuna

The few remaining ice cubes were small and swirled around the glass easily, the alcohol was watered-down now and tasted like shit but Hayato swallowed it down anyway. Alcohol was supposed to help, right? The lawn-head had offered to drink with him, so had the baseball idiot, but he'd turned them both down without a second thought. He didn't want to be around other people. Being at the wedding party was bad enough, but no matter how he felt, he wouldn't miss the Tenth's wedding for the world. Maybe he was a little selfish for that, wanting to be there at Tsuna's important moment even though Hayato's feelings were commonly assumed if not known, and with Tsuna's intuition there was no need for a confession. So Hayato had never said a word, and he had put on his best smile - he was happy for Tsuna, really really happy, and there was no way he'd let his other feelings get in the way of that.

Still, he wished the alcohol would help a little.

- Dino/Hibari

It was a cruel, violent love, matched blow-for-blow by a terrifying bloodlust. It was because Dino loved him that Hibari would kill him. It was because Hibari would kill him that Dino loved him. It was not soft and sweet, there were no flowers or candle-lit dinners. The romance was in blood.

- Squalo/Belphegor

And together they were monsters. They didn't understand each other because they didn't want to, understanding was burning, crashing, the intestine of a victim slipping out from a gaping hole. Understanding was for people who needed to understand. They only needed endless line of deaths awaiting them, the assignments they never failed, the carnage after a fight. And together they were monsters.

- Hibari/Tsuna (Tsuna/Hibari?)

It's only after years, so many years, that they've both changed enough for Tsuna to see it. Because they're older, Tsuna having changed so much more than Hibari, he sees it and he knows what to do about it. And though it takes a few deep breaths before the meeting between the two starts, by the end of the hour his confidence is more than enough, and he wonders if anyone else would be able to do what he knows he can - and is about to. "Come to dinner with me." It's a suggestion, not an order - Hibari responds terribly to orders. The man stopped and offered Tsuna a glance, reading him as usual but for once not having all the answers. As he leaves he offers a simple "Fine." And with that, Tsuna knows he has won.

- Yamamoto/Tsuna

It was quiet. Easy. Simple. While most of the Guardians were dangerous, frightening even, Yamamoto was like Tsuna - strong in a fight, but normal. He still smiled with an almost alien ease that the rest of the Family had forgotten. While Gokudera shouted at him, insanely stressed over the details, the facts, as soon as he left Tsuna and Yamamoto alone, there was a quiet sigh. They understood why Gokudera was the way he was, but it was still so much easier to be around each other. When he was gone, Yamamoto would lean over and kiss Tsuna's forehead with a small chuckle. He'd make some good-natured comment about Gokudera's impossible personality and Tsuna would agree, because they understood him but more importantly they understood each other. And when the stress was highest, Yamamoto could keep his ease, calming Tsuna which in turn kept Yamamoto calm. Quiet kisses, easy movements, simple love.
