*A/N: Hi guys! This is the final day for GinTsu week. It may be hard to tell, but today's theme is perfect. I had tons of fun with these themes. I started off rocky but I think I improved at least a teeny tiny bit. :') I just want to thank y'all for reading and dropping reviews. I'm actually thinking about writing a much longer story and was wondering if you guys would be interested? Haha anyways so sorry this is much shorter than the rest of the other stories I wrote! With this it concludes GinTsu week! Hope y'all have an amazing day/night wherever you may be! ^^
It was the middle of the night, time where everyone is asleep. It was quiet everywhere except for the apartment above Otose snack bar. Cries could be heard from the apartment.
"WAH! WAH" Two babies were crying out loud.
Both of their parents were holding a baby each while an orange haired woman was holding bottles of milk and making silly faces to try to calm the twins down.
"Come on Dia, Block stop crying-aru!" Kagura said as she was making all sorts of faces.
"Why won't they go to sleep?!" Gintoki said in a low voice trying not to upset his kids even more.
"I don' know!" Tsukuyo whispered back. "Kagura can ya hand me a bottle?"
"Kagura me too!" Gintoki chimed in.
"Yes!" Kagura handed a bottle of milk each to both Tsukuyo and Gintoki.
"Block, here's some milk." Tsukuyo said as she moved the bottle to his mouth. Unfortunately Block rejected the milk and kept crying.
"Dia say ah for papa!" Gintoki also tried feeding Dia, but she too rejected him. "Ah this is driving me insane why won't they quit crying?!"
"Maybe it's because they don't like you Gin-chan." Kagura said with a deadpan expression while picking her nose.
Tsukuyo sighed. "This ain't workin' out. We needa do somethin' else."
The three of them did everything from watching television shows to playing with toys with them to playing calm music to reading storybooks, but nothing worked. Instead Kagura passed out during the process of trying to put the babies to sleep. After hours of trying other things, Gintoki and Tsukuyo eventually managed to get the kids to sleep by gently rocking them back and forth. After they made sure a 100 times that the children were sound asleep they put them back in their respective cribs. They stealthily walked out of the room and back to their bed. They both collapsed onto the bed feeling exhausted.
"Ah'm so tired ah'm 'bout ta pass out right now." Tsukuyo said as her eyelids started to close.
"Same." Gintoki replied. "They're a handful aren't they?" Gintoki asked, but was only responded with the gentle sound of Tsukuyo breathing. He looked towards his right and saw that she had already passed out. "Eh? Sleeping already?" Gintoki asked as he smiled at her sleeping face. She does work pretty hard, she deserves all the rest. I'm tired as hell too. I guess I should get some sleep also. "Goodnight Tsukki." Gintoki whispered before drifting off to sleep.
They didn't care that they would wake up to dark bags under their eyes every morning. It never bothered them one bit that they lost couple hours of sleep every night due to their children keeping them awake. They didn't mind at all because this is the life they chose and came to love. This was their perfect life together.
