Hunter Vanguard Cayde-6 died in the Reef. The remaining Vanguard try to hold everything together, but Cayde's death haunts Zavala. And months after the Hunter's demise, rumors out in the wild and other events make Zavala start questioning his sanity.

When Guardian was brought back to life, instead of being able to escape, he was captured by the Fallen. This was the begining of how he came into his destiny of being the Guardian of the Guardians, the last line of defense to defending the Traveler.
