It has been 5 years since Haley came to Nathan's doorstep. He didn't want to see her. He closed the door in Haley's face. She felt like she had no where to go. Peyton was mad at her, she just found out that Lucas lied about his HCM, and Brooke headed off to California. She figured she'd take a risk and go see Brooke in California. Brooke forgave her and she found out that she had to stay in California and couldn't go back to Tree Hill. Brooke and Haley decided that they would live together to save money and just because they wanted to. Nathan and Haley both signed divorce papers a couple of months after she showed up at his door. Brooke stayed in touch with everyone from Tree Hill and went to see them every few months. But this time would change.
