A/N I got this story idea after reading about the Super Nintendo back in '91, because of parents telling their kids that they already got a Nintendo.
Oh, and it was set five years prior to Arthur airing on PBS TV.
None of the characters belong to me.
December 1991, Louisiana
A pregnant Cisely walks downstairs to the living room.
Cisely: What do you kids want for Christmas?
Ten year old Gussie was the first one to speak.
Gussie: I want a Sony Discman.
Cisely: (nods then writes down Gussie's present on a paper) Ladonna?
Three year old Ladonna was next to answer.
Ladonna: I want myself a Polly Pocket toy!
Cisely: I'm not too sure about that... It might have small parts...
Ladonna: Oh, come on! I'm three now!
Cisely: (rolls eyes) Okay... (writes down Ladonna's present on a paper) What about you, Madison?
Seven year old Madison struck an idea.
Madison: I want a Super Nintendo for Christmas!
Rufus: A Super Nintendo?
Cisely: Madison..
Madison: Huh?
Cisely: We already got a Nintendo. What's so special about the so-called Super Nintendo?
Madison: The Super Nintendo has 16-bit graphics, full stereo sound, and has more buttons on the controllers!
Gussie: Don't forget the games: Super Mario World, Pilotwings, and F-Zero.
Rufus: And a two hundred dollars price tag.
Cisely: Two hundred dollars, huh? (turns to Madison) I'm sorry, Madison. Maybe you can get a Super Nintendo when the price drops.
Madison: (droops her head) Okay... And that Nintendo game Mega Man 4 won't be out until a month...
Cisely: So, what Nintendo game do you want?
Madison: I'll go with Adventures of Lolo 3.
Cisely: That's the spirit. (writes down Madison's present on a paper)
