Magical Moment

They found themselves left alone in the kitchen after an enjoyable family dinner together. Teddy had followed Hermione from the living room under the guise of assisting her with bringing the eggnog and dessert through to the numerous guests that had gathered for the holidays. However his true motive was to finally convince Hermione to let go and give into her emotions.

As soon as he was sure that the other people gathered at Hermione's house had resumed their loud and boisterous conversation, he broke the comfortable silence that they were sharing.

"Can you feel it Hermione?" he cooed as he closed the distance between them. "This electricity, this connection, this draw between the two of us."

Hermione turned around from the counter as Teddy placed his large hand on her shoulder, and allowed herself to make eye contact with the younger man.

"Yes," she found herself unwillingly responding. "I do. But neither of us can act upon it," she protested meekly.

A desperation like no other he had ever experienced overcame Teddy, and he captured Hermione's lips with his own. He had to make her understand that there was nothing wrong with how they felt about each other.

So what if it she was seventeen years his senior, and had watched him grow from a child into a man. When you love someone age is just a number.

It felt right to him as he allowed himself to get lost in this one magical moment.

He lost all comprehension of the world around him as their lips connected with a fearsome passion. It felt as though there was magic in the air, and he wished that he could stay in this small pocket of time forever.

Her arms wrapped around his neck as she drew him closer to her, and it thrilled Teddy to know that she was letting go of her inhibitions and finally giving into her emotions.

They could have stayed like that for a minute or an hour, all Teddy knew was that it ended far too soon for his liking, but both he and Hermione knew that the guests in the other room were expecting their cake and a drink of eggnog.

Hermione smoothed down the front of her purple dress as she tried to compose herself after what had to be the most intense and thrilling kiss of her life, whilst Teddy turned around and gave Hermione a cheeky wink before leaving her beyond flustered in the kitchen.
