Prince Tyler and Princess Skyler, the twin children of King David and Queen Kathrin where only six years old when news came of the Queen's Mother's illness.
The Queen decided to go see her. Insisting that the King stayed home, saying she'd be back before to long.
But to long came and went and word reached the Castle that the Queen had been captured by the feared King Ivan.
King David grew in raged and blindly charged into battle with his army.
The Queen was never found, and the King never returned.
The young Prince and Princess fell into the care of their evil, vain and cruel Aunt Natalia(Their mother's younger step sister) who became Queen soon after.
Queen Natalia never liked her elder sibling and in turn hated her children.
The Kingdom fell into despair as the people of the once great land mourned the loss of their beloved King and Queen.
Queen Natalia also made everyone think that Tyler and Skyler died from grief, where in reality she kept them locked in the north tower.
The evil Queen now runs the Kingdom of Vemtoria with an iron fist. It also turns out that King Ivan is Queen Natalia's brother. And his army terrifies the towns people.
Prince Tyler quickly put up a shield around himself. Forever locking his emotions away, never to let them out again. He is sad and broken on the inside, but blank on the outside. He has come to except the fact that his Mother and Father had passed on.
Skyler on the other hand became cold and harsh to everyone around her except for Tyler. She trusted no one and nothing. Her face always held traces of anger and hatred. She refuses to believe that her parents are dead.
Ten long and miserable years passed, the twins now the age of sixteen.
Now, the Queen had many chambers, but this one was different. It had lit candles all around, and a huge golden circular shaped mirror on the wall.
Everyday the Queen would pace back and forth, back and forth in front of the mirror and ask the same questions.
"Mirror mirror on the wall" She would say.
"Who is fairest of them all?"
"Mirror mirror great and tall
Who is the strongest one of all?"
The first question she asked because how vain she was.
The second was asked for her brother, Ivan. For he valued strength more than anything.
And the mirror always replied,
"You are the fairest, my Queen.
No ones beauty surpasses yours."
Then the mirror would continue.
"Ivan will always be the strongest, my Queen.
No one is mightier then he"
But one day, Queen Natalia paced in front of the mirror. A smirk on her face. And she asked her questions, once again.
But the mirror replied,
"There is one fairer than even you, my Queen.
And one stronger than your brother."
"WHAT!?" Raged the Queen.
"Who are they?! Tell me! I'll have them executed immediately!"
The mirror responded in a riddle.
"When the Prince has no wall
When the Princess wears no expression at all
When that day comes, my Queen
Only then shall you, and your brother, fall"
Keep that riddle in mind my friends, because when you turn the page. That, is where the story gets interesting….
