Ariadne glanced around, trying to keep her calm, but she beginning to notice people walking past them were turning and staring. Their eyes were cold and vacant, but what else was expected of subconscious projections?
"What's happening?" she asked Arthur, who was sitting next to her, softly, continuing to look around. Why were they still looking?
"Cobb's drawing Fischer's attention to the strangeness of the dream, which is making the subconscious look for the dreamer. For me." Arthur paused for a second. "Quick, give me a kiss."
Ariadne felt her heart skip a beat at the Point Man's last words. Quick, give me a kiss.
She disregarded it, telling herself it was simply a distraction, but as she leaned forward for the brief meeting of their lips, she couldn't help but blush. She inhaled Arthur's scent carefully for a split second. He smelt of rich cologne. Their lips met and were pressed together for a few seconds. They both pulled away slowly.
Ariadne looked around, trying to keep Arthur from noticing the small flush on her creamy cheeks.
"They're still looking at us…" she said quietly, observing the projections' eyes still focusing on the two.
"Yeah…it was worth a shot." Arthur looked at her, smirking slightly. "We should probably get out of here."
He stood up and walked forward, leaving Ariadne to ponder over what he had just said. She glanced up at him feeling the corners of her mouth lift into a small smile.
