Rei, Ami, Usagi, and Makoto were sitting at a booth in the Crown café.

"I wonder where Minako-chan is. I know she can be late but this is ridiculous. She'd better have a good excuse "sighed Mako-chan.

Just then Minako ran into the café holding a magazine in her hands. "You guys, Three Lights are on the cover" Minako panted as she showed the magazine to everyone at the table.

"Who are the Three Lights" Usagi asked while Minako sat down between Rei and Mako-chan.

"Who are the Three Lights?! You're kidding, right Usagi-chan" Rei asked. Usagi shook her head no. Rei, Minako, and Makoto all groaned. "They're a super famous boy band." Rei said. "There's Seiya, who is the wild one." Minako said. "But we like that" Mako-chan said and Rei and Minako nodded their heads in agreement. "And then there is Yaten, who is super gorgeous" continued Rei. "And I definitely like that" said Minako. "Don't forget Taiki, who is super intelligent and incredibly nice" said Ami while furiously blushing. "He's so mature" Mako-chan said "and we like that" continued Minako. "Wait…Ami, do you like Three Lights" Minako asked. "What, no, not really, its just stuff I picked up here and there, you know on the internet" Ami said quickly.

While all the girls were fussing about Three Lights Usagi started to think about Mamo-chan and how he was leaving soon to go study in America. She wasn't sure how she felt about this. For a while now, she and Mamo-chan had been in a good place but the same place. She felt like they weren't moving anywhere in their relationship. It was comfortable knowing that they were destined for each other but that didn't mean that they didn't have to try to keep their romance interesting. Honestly, she felt like she and Mamo-chan were in a little bit of a rut. She loved Mamo-chan, no doubt about it but she was confused.

"Hey Usagi, what's wrong" asked Minako. "You're kind of spacy and I mean more than usual." Usagi looked up to see her friends looking at her with worried looks on their faces. "Oh…well, I guess now is a good time to tell you." Usagi said. "Tell us what, Usagi-chan" Rei asked. Usagi took a deep breath, "Mamo-chan is going to America soon. He applied to a top university there and he got accepted." "How long is he going to be there" asked Ami? Usagi paused for a minute and thought about the conversation she had with Mamo-chan yesterday.

…" I'm going to be gone for a year, Usako" said Mamo-chan "And I probably won't be able to visit during that time. But we can always call and email each other. Is that alright with you?" Usagi nodded her head. She couldn't say no to Mamo-chan. She understood that this was an opportunity that he had to grab and she wasn't going to be the one to stop him. Maybe they needed this. A break. Wait, what was she saying, she and Mamo-chan weren't going to break up. Not over something like this. In reality, Usagi realized that she and Mamo-chan were never going to break up. She had seen the future, experienced it. She had seen her and Mamo-chan's daughter, lived with her, taken care of her. She loved her.

"Usagi, are you alright" asked Mako-chan. Usagi shook her head, "Ya, sorry. Mamo-chan said that he will be in America for a year. He won't be able to visit during this time but that we will call and email each other all the time." The girls looked at Usagi and saw the sad expression on her face as she said that. "I'll be fine" Usagi said and flashed everyone a smile. "Hey, it's getting late. I need to get home."

Everyone got up from the booth once the check was paid for and headed out the door. Usagi waved goodbye to everyone and started to walk home. Everyone was watching her with worried looks on their faces. "Is she really going to be ok? I mean Chibi-usa just left and now Mamoru-san is leaving too. Won't she get lonely" asked Mako-chan. Minako looked in the direction that Usagi was walking and said "We are her friends. If she gets lonely, we will help her through it. Hell, we've been through a lot worse." Everyone nodded in agreement.

Later that night, Usagi was in Chibi-usa's room sitting on her old bed looking at a picture of her, Mamo-chan, and Chibi-usa. She was contemplating everything that was going on right now. Chibi-usa was gone and Mamo-chan was leaving. What was she going to do?

"Usagi-chan?" Usagi looked around to see who called her name and she saw Luna poke her head around a column. "Luna?" Luna hopped onto the bed with Usagi. "Are you all right, Usagi-chan" Luna asked. Usagi looked at Luna. "Luna, I don't know what to do. I want to tell Mamo-chan not to go but there is a part of me saying that we need this break. I'm so lost. For a while now, I haven't been a 100% sure about our relationship and I keeping wanting to know why I feel like that. I try and try to figure it out and I can't. I also can't stop thinking about maybe taking some time apart. I don't think I mean it but when Mamo-chan told me he was going to America for a year, a part of me wasn't at all hesitant to the idea." Luna rubbed against Usagi's arm. "In your heart, you'll find the answer. Maybe you do need a break and maybe you don't. The only one who can make that decision is you Usagi-chan. It will be hard if you do decide to take a break but it doesn't mean you won't get back together and the future we all know will become non-existent. Whatever you decide just know that I will stand beside you and so will Minako-chan, Rei-chan, Ami-chan, and Mako-chan because we care about you." "Thanks Luna" Usagi said as she reached and gave Luna a hug.

The airport, a couple days later

Mamo-chan was waiting at the airport, looking out a window when Usagi saw him.

"Mamo-chan?" Mamo-chan looked up to see Usagi standing nearby. "Usako, I thought you weren't going to come today because you had school." Usagi walked towards Mamoru. "I needed to see you one more time before you left." She looked down. "Usako… I want to give you something." Mamo-chan said as he started to reach for something in his bag. "Mamo-chan…wait." Mamoru put the ring box back into his bag. "I'm sorry, Mamo-chan" Usagi said with tears starting to well up. "Why are you sorry Usako" Mamo-chan asked as he looked at Usagi. "I'm sorry because… because… because I think we need some time apart. I know what you are going to say, that we are getting time apart with you going to America and all but I need time to think." Usagi could no longer fight back the tears and they slid down her face. "Are you saying that you want us… to not be in a relationship while I'm gone? Why?" asked Mamo-chan while looking at a crying Usagi. "I was about to give you a promise ring so you would trust our relationship." Usagi looked up into Mamo-chan's eyes. "That's why. The fact that you bought me a ring so it would strengthen our relationship shows that in a way you think our relationship isn't as strong as it used to be. We both need this time to evaluate our feelings and when you come back we can see what happens next. Don't you agree?" Mamoru looked out the window for a moment and then back at Usagi. "I guess you're right. Usako… I will miss you." He gave Usagi a kiss on the cheek, tasting the saltiness of her tears. "Mamo-chan... I'll miss you too. Have a safe flight" Usagi said. "Goodbye, Usako" Mamo-chan said before he turned around and started walking to his gate.

Usagi stood there for a moment, going over what just happened. She and Mamo-chan decided to take a break. She was single again. That thought made her start crying again. She didn't want people to walk past her and think something was wrong so she faced the window and started to wipe her tears. Then she heard screaming and lots of it. Probably another celebrity coming home she thought so she turned back to the window one last time before heading towards the airport exit…alone.

Usagi was too spaced out to notice the guy who walked past her. She may not have noticed him, but he sure did notice her. For some reason, he just felt like something was pulling him to look in her direction. He felt this shine emanating from her. She was beautiful and that hair… strange as it was, it was memorable. Those two buns with pigtails flowing down her back. He looked at her for a few more seconds before his two friends called him. "Hey, Seiya are you coming?" Seiya turned around and started walking towards them. "Ya, I'm right behind you."

The Three Lights headquarters

Seiya was sitting down with his head back, looking at the ceiling. Who was that girl at the airport and why had he been so attracted to her, not in a physical, guy kind of way but in a power kind of way. He could still feel some of the power he had sensed coming from her and it confused him.

Then he felt a shudder run through his body. The silver haired guy strumming a guitar spoke up. "The light of another star seed just went out. Damn it."

"I wish she was here" the tall brunette said. "Us too, Taiki. We just have to keep on looking" said Seiya.

Crown café at the usual booth

Usagi was sitting at one end of the table while Ami, Mako-chan, and Rei were looking at her waiting to hear what happened at the airport with Mamoru.

Finally, Rei had the guts to speak up. "So, what happened Usagi-chan?" Usagi looked up. "I told him that we needed a break. I could tell that he kind of felt the same way so I shouldn't be too hard on myself but I still feel awful. He's just been so great to me and I didn't want to hurt him but when he said he had a gift for me, I knew I had to do it."

"Did you know what the gift was" Ami asked. "No, and I don't think I want to know. I just couldn't take it. It was something that was supposed to strengthen our relationship and that was a sign. Is our relationship not strong enough that he needs to give me something so I can have faith in our bond while he goes away for a year? Usagi sighed deeply. This situation was really stressing her out.

Everyone was silent. Then Minako ran into the café waving her arms like a crazy person. "You guys… there is something…in the…park. Come on…we have…to go" Minako said as she tried to catch her breath. Everyone was slightly confused but Minako looked pretty serious so they got up and headed towards the park.

The park

"Why is there such a huge crowd here, Minako-chan" Usagi asked. "Because they are filming a drama here and the Three Lights are guest starring in it." Minako said excitedly. "Oh, I heard about this. I love this drama. It's really popular and the actors are so gorgeous" Ami said. Everyone turned to Ami. "Ami-chan, I didn't know you watched TV let alone dramas like this one" said Mako-chan. Ami blushed furiously and looked at the ground. "What…I just heard about it from somewhere. You know…" "Ya, Ya, Ya the internet" Rei finished Ami's sentence for her.

The girls started jumping up and down, trying to catch a glimpse of the actors over the heads of the crowd. "Oh my god, there is Alice, one of the main actresses in the show" screamed Minako with joy. "Oh, I see Taiki and Yaten too. They are over by the bushes looking at a script. They're even more gorgeous in person" Mako-chan said with hearts in her eyes.

"Alright, it's decided. We can't see anything from here so we have to navigate through this crowd and get to the front." Minako said with a face full of determination. Everyone mimicked Minako's determination. Then they were off. Within seconds everyone had disappeared into the crowd except Usagi who was still in the back. "Guys, wait up. I can't get through. Guys? Ugh I give up. I'm never going to get through this crowd. "

Usagi backed away from the crowd and started to walk, trying to see if there was space available to her. That's when she spotted the sign. It read "No Admittance, Staff Only." Usagi developed a huge grin on her face while she rubbed her hands together. This is perfect she thought to herself. She started creeping towards the entrance when a voice startled her.

"Hey, can't you read. You can't go in there." Usagi turned towards the voice. "Ahhh, I'm so sorry. I just wanted to meet Alice…" The guy who spoke earlier got up from the bench. "Hey, you're that girl from the airport." Usagi was confused. Did she know this guy? "Do I know you?" The guy's eyes widened. "You don't recognize me?" Usagi shook her head. Now she was getting really confused. "I guess I'm not as popular as I thought I was" said the guy. Usagi now understood. This guy was cocky and was trying to hit on her. She was flattered but she had just broken up with Mamoru a couple days ago. Sure this guy was cute but his cockiness was really turning her off. "Look, if you're trying to hit on me, it's not working." The guy just laughed. "Your funny" he said as he walked to the restricted entrance. "Hey, you're not supposed to go back there. It's for staff only" Usagi yelled. "I am working here" he yelled back. "Maybe I'll see you around, Odango."

Usagi froze for a minute. Nobody had called her Odango except Mamo-chan. But now they were taking time off and he was in America. Still that guy had no right to call her that. Jerk. Hey, I can piss him off by going in the restricted area Usagi thought to herself. She was roaming around when she heard a scream. She ran towards the sound and hid behind a trailer and saw a new enemy. "Usagi, transform. That girl needs your help." Luna said. Once Usagi transformed she confronted the new enemy. "Hey, what are you doing to that girl" yelled Sailor Moon.

"I'm taking her star seed but it looks like its gone bad. You can deal with this phage" said the new enemy. "Wait, who are you" asked Sailor Moon. "I'm Sailor iron Mouse" said the new enemy as she was escaping. Sailor Moon turned around to face the phage when she heard snapping. Looking up she saw three people on top of a trailer. They introduced themselves as the Starlights. Apparently they were sailor soldiers too. They started attacking the former actress when Sailor Moon stepped in front of the phage. "I won't let you hurt her" Sailor Moon said as a light emanated from the moon crest on her forehead.

That light stopped the Starlights from attacking further and allowed Sailor Moon to heal the actress turned phage. When she turned around, the Starlights were gone but luckily the actress was safe.

The Starlights were hiding in a tree above the battle. "She is strong" said Sailor Star Fighter. "This just got a whole lot more interesting" said Sailor Star Healer and then they left.

Later after the filming was done, everyone found Usagi sitting on a park bench debating what had just happened with Luna. "What's up Usagi-chan? We have been looking everywhere for you" said Rei. Usagi looked up at her friends and told them how she missed everything. Everyone sweat dropped but then started laughing. "Let's head home" said Mako-chan. Everyone agreed.
