I sighed and played with the fishing wire necklace, tied just behind my range of vision.

"You ready to go yet Katara?" my brother asked from outside my bedroom door.

"I told you, I'm not going shopping with you today, I wanted to check out something else!" I sighed; my brother could be such an idiot sometimes.

"You're not coming Sugar Queen?" Toph called. "Now who's going to yell at me when I move stuff 'magically' around the floor?"

I laughed, "I guess Suki will have to keep you guys in line today."

"Well we're leaving, last chance Katara." My brother urged.

"Sorry Sokka, I'm not going." I said sternly.

"Fine, we'll be back in a few hours." Sokka said walking out the door.

"And I won't be here." I muttered under my breath, picking up my stuff and heading for the edge of Omashu.

I looked up at the cave I had walked into almost six years before.

"Has it just been six years?" I thought, "It feels like longer.

I sighed, a tear running down my cheek in remembrance of the man who parted with me against his will, so many years ago.

As I lost sight of the light at the entrance of the cave, a thought struck me, "What if this isn't the right cave?"

Seconds later a bright blue light appeared illuminating the tunnel. I let out a breath I didn't know I'd been holding.

The cave seemed empty, unlike the first time I had been in here, with him. I didn't hate him, it's just when I did think about him, I would, tearbend.

I giggled slightly through my tears, "That play was horrible."

I kept walking for what seemed like miles. "He was such a wreck, me and Zuko?" I cringed involuntarily at the thought.

Looking up I recognized the hole that Appa help create so many years ago.

Looking at the statue of the couple kissing I felt my cheeks heat up.

Another tear slipped down my cheek. "Why did you have to leave me?" I asked myself quietly.

"Because many people were still loyal to Sozin, you would be in far worse danger than in our travels." said a voice from behind me.

"No, it couldn't be!" I thought.

"Aang?" I said, not turning to face him.

"I'm sorry that I had to leave without an explanation," He gave me a sad smile.

I hugged him tightly.

"Six years is far too long." he said smiling into my hair. "How have you been."

"Good. Sokka and Suki got married last year and moved to Kyoshi, Toph and I have a home in Ba Sing Se." I replied. "How about you?"

"Things are finally starting to settle down. I was going to see everybody." He smiled.

He pulled away from the hug and kissed me. The kiss seemed to last for hours.

"I never stopped loving you." he said looking me in the eyes. I found myself getting lost in his magnificent gray orbs.

"Nor I you." I replied after finding my voice.

"The rest of the gang's met up in Omashu, you should come." I said, hugging him again.

"Well it seems we're going in the same direction." he said, wiping away tears I didn't know had fallen.
