Oki here is one of my many hiei story that I started months ago and i just feel like finishing it. I don't usually write like this bt what ever.

Don't own Yu Yu Hakusho and If I did then it wouldn't be here . casue I'm really lazy... anyways

"Go hide." That was one of the last things that I remember him saying. I scrambled into the closet but I left the door open a crack so I could watch what was going on. Brother was standing in front of the closet protecting it from the evil thing that lurked in the dark that swallowed up every thing else in the memory.

I heard some one yell. Then brother shouted back. I can't hear the words; all I know is that they were yelling. It was about a stone or a gem of some kind. The evil man pulled out a sword and pointed it at brother. That's when I ran out of the closet.

He was dressed in black, black like the night that he came from. He laughed at me when I stood in front of my brother even though I knew that there was nothing that I could do to protect him. But I would try.

He was fast. I never saw him move from where he was standing. He was there and then he was next to me, his sword half buried on brothers side. Jerking it out, he turned and wandered into the house. I don't know what he did after that.

I tried to grab for brother when he fell but I fell with him instead. My face felt hot and wet but I never understood why.

"Eva you need to leave," brother choked out threw a mouthful of blood. He placed an icy hand on my head and ruffled my hair affectionately. I clutched onto his hand desperately trying to will him to stay a live. A vain attempt.

"Don't go," I sobbed. I didn't want to be left alone in the world again. His eyes started to dull and I know now that he was slipping away from me then.

"Eva you have to go. What he wants is you. Run. Run and keep running until your legs fall off," those were the last words that my brother would ever say to me. The sparkle in his eyes dulled for ever and I would never see it or my brother or my house ever again.

I got up and ran. I ran and ran and ran, just like you told me brother. Are you proud of how far I ran? Did you see me running? No you didn't, did you? Because you're dead. Cause he killed you. The man in black, the man with no face but eyes the color of blood.
