A/N:

*Sobs* another authors leaving us. Bye ~*Earth Angel*~. I hope you enjoy your new life. Ok, here's another fic I wrote. It's called Souls.

When I was little, someone told me something I never forgot. They said 'you don't own your souls, so you you'll never lose them. They belong to God.' I never did forget that. Never.

Hi, my name is Ginny Weasley and this is my story. Not Harry's, Not Hermione', not Ron's not Malfoy's. It's mine. I'm going to have to rewind back to last summer to tell you it.

Ron had sent a letter to Harry and Hermione, inviting them to come to our house again. Hermione wrote back saying she could come, Harry could not. Mum wanted to know why so she sent an owl to him. He never replied. We all got scared and went to Number 4, Privet Drive. What we saw surprised us all.

The dark mark was right above number 4. Dad got scared and went inside. I saw a fat kid, Harry's cousin most likely. He was lifeless. I went upstairs to find two adults, also dead. There was no sign of Harry in there. I walked to Harry's room. I pushed open the door, scared to death.

Sure enough, Harry was there. I checked for a pulse, he had a small one. I yelled for my dad, who came running up the stairs. After awhile, Harry was pronounced dead. It wasn't the killing spell, it was worse.

It was Dementors. They just sucked his soul right out of him. It was then that I realized that you DID own your Souls. They were your memories, your feelings, and your life. You could still live without it, but not for long.

A few days later, it was Harry's funeral. Tons of wizards, including Fleur and Viktor Krum came. Almost every wizard and witch you could think of. Dumbledore had organized a huge funeral. Harry was buried next to his parents. When I was leaving the cemetery, I thought I saw something. It was Harry's soul, waving goodbye. I waved back, smiling. The saying that I was told so long ago has been proved right. I'll miss Harry, but as they say ' Loved ones never leave you. They are always a part of you until the day you die.'
