An alternate story I've been thinking of for the Mortal Kombat X timeline, because Mileena is one of my favorite characters and I feel she has a lot of untapped story potential.

They've fallen out of the Elder Gods' favor and the two are constantly at each other's throats. Only one person under the Elder Gods' thumb is strong enough to stop them both but he is far from heroic. Involves AU elements such as Edenia's liberation.
