Lifeless Body

I stare at his lifeless body. His right arm is limp and broken. Shattered. Shorin, or should I say, Rando showed no mercy. None at all.
"You bastard!" Yusuke shouts at Rando's face. All Rando does is smile. Smile like an innocent child playing a game. He really was a jerk.
I knelt down at his body, lying in the grass. I can hear his hoarse breathing, his eyes barely able to keep open.
He promised Yusuke, that he wouldn't die. Not until he fought him and won. He even smiled at Yusuke, reassuring his survival. I always thought he and Yusuke hated each other's guts. But apparently they care about each other more than I thought. I had to chuckle at that. Some rivalry.
But I can't believe that witch, Genkai, would allow Rando to break his arm like so grotesquely. Oh, dear, listen to the way I'm speaking. That's not me at all.
But Yusuke is fighting Rando now, avenging this fallen warrior's honor. Yusuke sure is commendable. But my eyes turn away from the battle and back on the body. He is still breathing, thank God.
Yusuke always made Kuwabara sound so nasty and idiotic. While did see some of the idiocy Yusuke was talking about, Kuwabara didn't seem all that bad. I remember back to when I first met him in person. He took my hand and looked deeply into my eyes.
"Excuse me, dear Botan," he said after Yusuke told him my name, "Would you please marry me and spend the rest of your life with me?"
Yusuke clocked him on the head to bring him back to reality, but could you believe I almost said, "Yes"?
I mean, he wasn't that bad-looking and...oh dear. Could I actually be falling for Kuwabara? I mean, I admired his fighting skills and his personality, although somewhat quirky, was charming. I honestly didn't see what Yusuke was talking about saying he was an idiotic buffoon. Well, he is a buffoon, but a lovable one. I smile at the thoughts of him in the Genkai tournament and even before when Yusuke and I watched him and his gang back when Yusuke was still dead. But my smile quickly fades when I remember how hurt he is. Lying on the grass, breathing ever so slowly. Yusuke is still fighting Rando and Genkai is still watching. Nobody is watching us. I lean in closer to him and plant a kiss on his forehead. I stroke his cheek and continue smiling.
"Don't worry, Kuwabara. You'll be okay. Yusuke and I will make sure of it." I get up and watch Yusuke avenging his friend and rival.
