Selina and Bruce were having a lovely quite dinner in one of the manor's biggest dining rooms when they heard a ruckus from just outside the room.
"Give it back!" the voice shouted.
"NO!" shouted another voice.
Bruce instantly recognized the two voices and rolled his eyes as he knew what was about to happen.
"Give it back!" shouted Dick Grayson the elder of Bruce's two sons.
"NO!" shouted Tim his other, younger son.
The two suddenly burst into the room.
"I'm gonna ask you one more time!" shouted Dick. "Give it back!"
"NOOOO!" shouted Tim emphatically.
"All right then you asked for it!" shouted Dick and proceeded to chase Tim around the room.
Bruce and Selina's quiet dinner had been effectively ruined. Bruce rolled his eyes yet again and proceeded to rub the bridge of the nose and gave Selina a can you believe this? look. After a few minutes he couldn't take any more and stood up and banged his fist on the table. The two boys immediately stopped in their tracks and looked at Bruce.
"I've had enough of this!" he yelled louder than he had meant to. Even Selina looked scared. "You two are acting like children and I am sick of your bickering!" "Selina and I are trying to have a nice quiet dinner; which we were having until you two burst in." "I don't know what's going on and frankly I don't care." Whatever is going on you two are going to fix it and make nice so Selina and I can continue the nice evening we were having.
They both began to protest but Bruce put up his hand to silence them.
"Whatever it is FIX IT NOW!"
Tim gave back the cologne that he had stolen from Dick's room.
"Now apologize."
"But I-" Tim started to protest but Bruce silenced him again.
"Apologize."
Tim rolled his eyes. "I'm sorry Dick"
"Thank you Tim." Dick said with a smug smile of satisfaction on his face.
"Now get out of here both of you." "and play nice" he added.
The two of them turned and walked out of the room. Bruce sighed and sat back down to finish his pasta.
"That was—interesting." Selina said with a sly smile.
Bruce chuckled and shook his head and the two of them continued their nice quiet peaceful dinner.
