'JAMES!' Cynthia McHenry screeched, her flawless face white with panic which was flooding over her quickly.
'Yes, darling?' The Senator, James McHenry appeared in the doorway, calm as ever except possibly exasperation leaking into his tired voice, "What's wrong?"
'It's Macey.' Now as white as a sheet Cynthia's hands were shaking, clutching on to an official looking letter.
Her husband was beginning to think something was wrong. Had something happened to their daughter? Cynthia was making it seem so.
'Has something... Happened to her?' He choked slightly on the words, he loved his daughter, he didn't want to lose her.
Silently his wife passed over which she had previously been clinging on to.
The senator studied carefully the sheet, then much to his wife's shock and horror, let out a low chuckle.
'Macey's report?' he questioned, amused at Cynthia's reaction.
'Have you not read it, James?' She was trying to stay calm, but to her husband it was obvious she was on the verge of being hysterical. 'She got A's. Macey got A's. My daughter does not get A's!' She cried out.
James was confused. 'Isn't that good? Let me read you the headmistress' report: Macey McHenry is a delight to have around. She has improved tremendously and fitting in well with fellow classmates. I hope that she continues to keep her grades and attitude at the same high standard that it has been these semesters.' James McHenry beamed, he was so proud of his little girl. She had finally found a school that she loved. He glanced over at his wife hoping to see that she felt the same. Clearly not. It must have of got too much for her- Macey had changed.
Cynthia McHenry, on the other hand, had fainted.
