Chapter 1
One day Rory is on the computer on Facebook talking to her 2 best friends her big brother Jared and her big sister Jennifer who are away at college while trying to work on and print out her graduation party/open house invitation's when Karen walks into the room.
''hey sweetie what's going on what are you doing?'' Karen asks her
''oh hey Mom nothing much just talking to Jared and Jennifer and trying to make and print out my graduation party/open house invitations that I havn't gotten to finish and send out out yet because I just havn't had anytime because I've just been so busy with school and catching up on my reading.'' Rory tells her
''oh good that's good so how are they doing?'' Karen asks her
''fine and are both going to be home in time for my graduation party/open house.'' Rory tells her
''damn that was suppossed to be a surprise for you.'' Karen says
''oh well I guess I will just have to pretend to act suprised.'' Rory tells her
''I guess you will.'' Karen says
Rory is going down her list of people she wants to invite and see's Lorelai Gilmore on the list.
''oh.'' Rory says
''what sweetie?'' Karen questions her
''nothing I just got down to Mom's name it's no big deal but do you think that she would want to come?'' Rory asks her
''oh hunnie.'' Karen says and takes a deep breath
''I don't know baby maybe I guess you could try but don't be surprised if you don't get a response back.'' Karen tells her
''your mom isn't the most reliable person. I mean the whole reason why we adopted you was because she wasn't ready to be a mom and quite frankly I still don't think that she is ready to be a mom to you yet.'' Karen tells her
''oh okay well I think I'm just going to try and send it out anyways.'' Rory tells her
''okay.'' Karen says
''if she doesn't respond she doesn't respond but it doesn't hurt to at least try.'' Rory tells her
''okay baby.'' Karen and just starts feeling really bad that she can see and feel Rory's pain
