Leo looked down at the churning black ocean underneath him some thousands of feet below. Strong winds whipped at the ship, the one he nearly killed himself to make, and made the taped note, letter basically, flutter and crinkle. It read:

Hey guys,

I'll be gone by the time you read this so don't bother trying to find me and save me. I'm gone to far to be saved. You guys probably see me as a confident, cheerful guy. Well, that was a mask sadly. I couldn't keep it up. I'm sorry. I'm falling and cant stop. Move on, please. It wasn't you guys so don't blame anyone besides me. It was me and only me.

Love,

Leo Valdez, Repair Boy.

He carefully stepped over the railing until he was on the other side, holding the railing in a death like grip. Just lean forward and let go. He told himself. He let go and leaned forward and began to fall. That is, until, someone grabbed his hand and held him up. Leo looked up to see bright blue irises staring down. "Dammit Jason! Let go!" He screamed, wildly flopping, trying to wiggle out of his grasp.

"You think I'm an idiot!" He screamed back, pulling the small child up, until they both tumbled on the deck. The looked at each other for a few seconds, unsure what to do. Leo felt tears prick his eyes. Jason shuffled over to him and hugged him. "Don't you even dare think about trying to do that again." He whispered out.

Leo opened his mouth to say something only to have a choked sob come out. Then and there, the small Latino elf cried for everything that went wrong in his life.
