I watched Princess Tutu back in 2012 and wanted to try out a fanfiction for it. I just now got the guts to try it. Hope you readers out there like it.
This is going to be a short story in maybe 3 parts. I have another story idea as well for this category.
Part 1:
Fakir wrote everyday, once…twice…thrice…until he was practically consumed with it.
Duck was always by his side. She never left him once. It worried him that she never seemed to want to go anywhere besides the pond and house; so silent and still as if she weren't really alive.
Their daily routine consisted of waking up, eating, going out to the docks, Fakir writing and Duck floating beside him. At night he took the little duck and tucked her in the bed with him. That was when the little bird cried. She would try to hide it as she buried her beak against him but he knew.
Duck couldn't speak to Fakir, all that came out of her was quacking; though she could understand him well. Eventually she stopped trying to talk to him and wouldn't make a sound.
It was plain to see Duck was depressed. Fakir knew her well enough to know she was devastated about being a duck again. She had wanted to stay as Princess Tutu and stay human. He wanted her back as a human as well.
They had never voiced it but both knew they were in love with the other. Now there would never be hope for them to be together.
If only he could write a story about her turning into a human again. He had tried before but it had been a useless effort. The story refused to become true. He had ripped it in half, threw it into the water, and watched it turn to white paste. He hadn't told Duck about it.
Fakir refused to put her in even more despair. Could he do anything for Duck? Was there someway in this world to turn her back into a human girl? She was a duck in true form but that didn't meant she couldn't turn back human…right?
Review if you want Part 2!
