Disclaimer: I do not own Jonny Quest or related characters. I also do not own "Ghost Riders in the Sky" by Johnny Cash (I don't care who did it originally, the Johnny Cash version is the only version I know).

A/N: A little pointless fic showing off a headcannon I have. Admittedly, it was originally inspired by S1 Race or Cowboy as I like to call him, though it could probably work for S2 Race... right? Honestly, since this is my version of Race (which is a combination of all versions of Race that I know (but mostly S2 and Classic) it works for him... I hope.

"Jessie? What are you doing?" Jonny asked, finding the fourteen-year-old standing at the garage door, her phone in hand. It looked like she was filming something.

"Shh!" She hissed.

Jonny gave her a confused frown though, now that he was listening, he could hear the faint sound of music. Moving closer and looking over Jessie's shoulder, he found Race was working on one of the Quest Rovers, the radio on the workbench was on and playing an old country song. There was another sound, another voice singing the song.

"Yippie yi ohhh... Yippie yi yaaay... Ghost Riders in the sky..." Race was singing quietly to himself as he worked.

Jonny grinned, remembering a few years when he'd help Race in the garage and he'd catch the bodyguard singing to himself. Of course, the agent had always denied it, though Jonny didn't know why. "Um, Jess, why are you recording this?"

"To show it to Mom later." Jessie answered quietly. "I remember when I was little, Mom would mercilessly tease him about how he sang when he was working. He always denied it..." She shook her head a grin on her face.

"Yeah, he used to deny he was singing when I was younger and caught him doing it." Jonny murmured.

"What are you two doing?" Race asked, finally catching sight of them.

"Nothing!" Jessie answered far too quickly, hiding her phone behind her back.

"Jessie, were you filming me?" Race asked sounding somewhat confused. Then he realizing what he'd been doing and his confused face shifted into an unamused one. "You're going to send that to your mother, aren't you?"

"Yep!" Jessie chirped.

Then she and Jonny ran for it.

A/N: No. Race doesn't chase them down and try to keep Jessie from sending the video. The kids are just being a bit dramatic.
