1Sleepless Nights
Wounded Villagers
Disclaimer: I do not, nor have I ever, sadly, owned Inuyasha. I do, however, own every story that I post, so if you try and steal it, I shall be mad! ^_^
Inuyasha watched Kagome discreetly from across the fire. Her hair was a bit of a mess, all tangled and mussed, and her eyes were blood shot from lack of sleep and stress.
If she keeps this up, the stupid idiot's gonna drive herself mad, he thought, watching her hands fumble inside her tan medical box, searching for something and huffing quietly when she didn't find it.
Kagome grabbed the purple sun dress off of the top of her giant yellow carrying bag, grunting as she tore it into long strips and began to wrap the wounded villager's arm.
"Kagome," Inuyasha called when Kagome had finished with a triumphant clap.
"Yes?" She looked at Inuyasha, giving him a full view of her face... and the dark bruises under each of her caramel eyes.
"Sleep." He told her, moving off her sleeping bag to sit beside it.
"But what if there's"—
"There's not." Inuyasha told her, pointing at his nose, "I'd be able to smell if there were anymore wounded villager's. You've taken care of them all. Now, sleep."
Kagome nodded gratefully and settled down on the sleeping bag, her head resting on the leg Inuyasha provided for a pillow.
"Thanks, Inuyasha." She muttered around a yawn.
Trailing clawed fingers through the miko's hair, Inuyasha replied, "Feh, it's no problem, Wench."
