Explanation – Charlie's P.O.V
After Sophie had left I knew to sit down at the table because mum would want to question me about what she saw between me and Sophie. Honestly though I feel as though she is intruding in a private moment. I knew I was right when she sat at the table across from me.
"Right," Mum started, "Going to tell me what that was all about?"
"Well, I don't really know but I guess I kissed Sophie Lupin-Black." I mumbled.
"You guess?" Mum questioned, she gave me a knowing look and I realised that I couldn't lie to her because she would see through it all.
"What am I supposed to say? That, yes I did kiss her and I realised that I had a crush on her a long time ago, maybe a couple of years ago, actually." I confessed.
"There is nothing wrong with that, Charlie, but if you want Sophie to be your girlfriend then you should ask her sooner rather than later because a girl like that will catch another man's eyes." She replied and I couldn't believe it.
I knew that everything my mother said is true and I promised myself that whatever girl I fell in love with would be treated like a princess and if anyone deserves that then it is Sophie.
I am very tired now and mum left to go back upstairs because she knows that after a discussion like that I need to be left alone with my thoughts. I got into bed that night careful not to wake Bill up because we are sharing a room and I don't want anyone to ask me anymore questions.
I have decided to talk to Sophie as soon as I can because I really like her, I may even be in love. Who knows what that feels like? Honestly, I have never been in love before and it is scaring me, not just because Sophie is 14 and I am 21. I am mainly scared of how her dad's will react.
They are great people but when it comes to their daughter they are the scariest people you will ever meet, not a lot scares me if I'm being honest because I am a Gryffindor and I am also a Dragon Tamer.
