Glad That I Did
As a monster, there was a number of forbidden things that were stamped inside your head.
Especially monsters like my family was.
We faced the hardest the others of our kind could imagine.
She walked past me, and I could only swallow back the venom filling my mouth. They burned my throat as my body protested.
She was even more beautiful.
Her pale skin was covered in pink cheeks.
It was heaven only to see her like that.
I hadn't spoken to her ever since that biology class, but I didn't mean that I never saw her.
Every night I have my own scenery.
She sleeps beautifully, like an angel.
I was sure that she would age far more gracefully than other humans, and I knew I might not be able to witness that, unfortunately.
The thought of watching her growing old with someone else repulsed me.
She was mine. And I didn't want that to change.
She was there, beside her old truck.
And I sensed something that would mean her end.
I didn't think.
I let go of Alice's embrace and stormed towards her.
