There are two types of people in our world…
A flash of a red cloak streaked by a forest, rose petals fluttering to the ground behind it.
Those who seek to cause evil...
A woman with long dark red hair and grey eyes smiled before vanishing into thin air.
And those who seek to stop evil…
A single black feather drifted to the ground.
I am neither of these...
A figure in the red cloak withdrew a giant red scythe, pointing it at a man with a bandanna over his mouth.
I am a Reaper.
Ruby looked at Beacon, Crescent Rose folded up beside her.
My only job is to bring justice to those who deserve it...
Weiss's eyes widened as Crescent Rose unfolded in the reflection of her iris.
And to destroy anyone who gets in our way.
Ruby turned away from Weiss, fists clenched.
Yet here we are, at an impasse…
Weiss hugged Ruby tightly, rose petals drifting around the two.
I cannot fall in love with anyone. Especially a Schnee…
Ruby watched Weiss get thrown back by an Ursa Major.
Yet I have…
Tears welled in Weiss's eyes as Ruby slapped her across the face, tears streaming out of her silver eyes.
And I have to choose between you, and my duty.
Ruby unfolded Crescent Rose, holding an arm in front of Weiss as she stared down Qrow.
Love, or life.
Ruby cradled Weiss's face in her hands.
Life…
Ruby cut the bindings on Weiss's wrists.
Or death…
Ruby turned away, blood staining her boots as she walked off into the forest undergrowth.
This was meant to be posted a while ago, but I was busy. This is in honor of Halloween and Volume 6! The story will be up soon, hopefully.
