A Powerful Magic – Part One

Disclaimer: Don't sue me. And I own the Li Syaomei in this story.
A/N: The girl in this story is not related to Syaoran, despite the similarities in their names.
Pulling a strand of her long, green hair from her eyes, the girl gritted her teeth. Her brown-blue eyes flashed menacingly under the eerie moonlight, and she advanced upon the unsuspecting bird. Suddenly, the raven turned, its tiny black eyes narrowed. It lifted its wings and lifted off of the ground, but it was too late. The girl lifted up what looked like a short wooden stick covered in moss.
"Hei ye niao, gei wo ni de chi bang!" she shouted. Bird of the night, give me your wings! A ray of purple light flooded out from the tip of the moss-covered wand, hitting the raven. The bird dropped out the air, and as soon as it hit the ground, it let out a loud "caw" and started to vanish. All of a sudden, her shoulders started aching with a dull pain, and in the next second, she had sprouted a glistening pair of black wings. Perfect, she thought to herself. Covering herself with her new wings, she disappeared into the black of the night.
"I'm late!" Sakura wailed. "Kero-chan, did you see where I left my book bag? Oh, wait, here it is." She ran downstairs, grabbed her lunch, and hurriedly pulled on her rollerblades. She sped down the street toward school, and somehow managed to make it exactly five seconds before the bell rang. She grinned weakly at Tomoyo, and plopped down into her seat in front of Syaoran. Terada-sensei walked in. "Today," he said, "We will be welcoming a new student. She has just moved here, and does not speak Japanese." He turned toward the doorway and motioned for someone to come in. A small, slight girl walked in, her head down. Two long green braids hung, swinging. Terada-sensei smiled. "This is Li Syaomei. Let's try to make her feel more at home here, all right?" He led the girl to the seat behind Syaoran. She sat down, sliding down in her seat, slouching shyly. Syaoran, sensing something strange, narrowed his eyes and turned around to look at the new girl, and was shocked at what he saw. A strong, purple-green aura was glowing around her. He turned back around and leaned forward, tapping Sakura on the shoulder. She leaned back towards him. "What is it?"
"The new girl. She's got magic powers. And she's strong," he whispered.
"I know. I sensed it."
"She could be dangerous. I'll talk with you about her during recess, all right?"
"Okay."
Behind them, the girl smiled to herself. So these were the two she had been searching for. She had underestimated their powers, and saw that she would have to be cautious, for she had seen the powerful auras they emitted. The boy gave off a green one, which didn't look too strong, but his aura was intertwined somehow with the girl's, and hers was an intense pink. Oh well, they're still no match… for me…
Review below, or I won't bother thinking of more chapters. And I was going to evolve this into something with a lot of S+S, but if no one likes this, I don't know if I'm going to write anymore to it.
