Blah. I've never done a poem or songfic before. Probably because I don't think my "songfics" would pack the same punch as a regular fic form.
But I will say that this songfic is a bit different. Allow me to explain.
This fic is based ona song called "Don't Try So Hard" by a Japanese group called "Wands". Look `em up on Napster. I'm sure it's there. If not, you can always e-mail me at animegrl@dcci.com and request that I send it to you. ^^ (In case you didn't notice, I listen to more Japanese music than English.)
But anyway, although I did not write this song, I did write the lyrics. In other words, this is not a translations of the song! I just borrowed the melody, and a few of the lyrics.
I HIGHLY recommend you find the song, and sing my lyrics with it. They are written to fit with the song. Anyhoo, I don't expect raving reviews or anything for this. I'm not too thrilled with it myself...but the song is AWESOME! This of this in the format of Phil Collins in Tarzan. Y'know, the characters aren't singing, but the song reflects the characters' thoughts.
Oh yeah! Check out the Digimon movie, folks! There is some SERIOUS Mimou evidence in there!!!! YEAH! EAT THAT!!! ::clears her throat:: Ahem.

Blah. See? Nothing special. ^^ The song is great, though. So if anything, this is a plug for the song! Download it! Maybe then you'll enjoy this songfic better. ^^; Maybe I should've written scenes to this? Maybe I'll illustrate it...
Anyhoo, this is supposed to take place during first season, towards the end...I would imagine that the characters would have their rough spots with eachother, and when I listened to this song, it just started coming to me. ^^;
