Nights like these were Annie's absolute favorites. She was curled up on the couch, her head in Auggie's lap as he mindlessly ran his fingers through her hair. They talked for

hours, about her mission, how much they had missed each other, their families, and their future. Auggie's had moved from her hair to her cheek and he carresed the side or

her face. His hand traveled down her neck and to the exposed shoulder that her tank-top didn't cover. A thought occured to Annie as he rubbed a faint scar on her upper

arm. "How do you see me?" She asked, picking her head up slightly.

"What do you mean?"

"Well, you can feel every little scar and bump and imperfection on my face and my body." She continued, "it must be hard not to see me with all of it."

He squinted his eyes and slightly cocked his head to the side. "What's that look for?" She asked smiling as she sat up to face him.

"This look is an 'are you crazy?' look," he teased.

"No, seriously Auggie!" She said smacking him on the shoulder, "how do you see me?"

Auggie let out a breath and put his hands on her shoulders He looked her square in the eye, which she would never understand how. "Annie Walker, when I see you, I see

your laugh. I see how it fills a room and can change the atmosphere like that." He snapped his fingers, "I see the way your smile turns up," he ran his thumb across her lips

as she smiled. "I see how soft your skin feels and how you walk with such confidence and grace at the same time" He paused, "but most of all Annie, I see you. I see the

woman I love, and she is beautiful."

He was caught my surprise as he felt a pair of lips come crashing down on his. She kissed him passionately, her hands tangled in her hair. "I love you too."

A/N: The idea hit me one night when I was thinking about how weird is must be for Auggie to not know what Annie looks like. Please review! Thanks for reading! :)
