The Faerie Path

The Faerie Path

Lo! Behold the Faerie Path!

Where young ones tread with glee,

Where those so fair shout to the air,

"O! Come and play with me!"

Those who tread the Faerie Path,

Those forever young and fair,

Those with shining star-filled eyes,

And long silken flowing hair.

The walkers of the Faerie path,

O! How fair are they,

Strong voices, sweet as Nature's song,

As by the stream they lay.

The Faerie Path is ever there,

Yet hid from Mortal's eye,

Save for the nights, when with soft lights,

Stars are borne across the sky.

"See there the Faerie Path,"

An Ancient voice does say,

"Where mortals come upon their doom

Where Faeries laugh and play.

Beware, Beware! The Faerie Path,

You with lives so fleet and swift,

Beware the echoes of the wind,

Beware the faerie gift!"

The Faerie Path, the Secret Road,

Known only in the days of old,

The winding way of Folk so fair,

Of wondrous tales that have been told.

The Faerie Path goes ever on,

Through Faerie Land and Faerie Realm,

Through Faerie Land and Faerie Realm,

The Faerie Path goes ever on.
