I stepped out into the airport and immediately saw Buffy, Dawn, and Xander. "They actually came!" After what I did I certainly wouldn't expect them too. You see, after my girlfriend, Tara, was shot I sorta, kinda, went on a bit of a black arts rage. Long story short I skinned the murderer. How do you forgive that?
I spent my summer in England with Giles working on keeping myself controlled. I learned so much and even though I'm not completely healed I need to be here.
So, I slowly embarked on my walk to my friends. From what I could tell they didn't seem mad. Xander was actually holding a sign in yellow crayon that welcomed me. He was the one to pull me out of my magic frenzy. He reminded me of the first day of kindergarten when I broke a yellow crayon. We really have been friends for so long. We have been through everything together, from snoopy dances to doppelgangers. You name, chances are we've had it happen together.
I glanced from Xander to Dawn. Oh my god Dawn! I must have freaked her out to the extreme! I almost killed her for god's sake. She's going to definitely need a HUGE batch of cookies.
And lastly there was Buffy. Our battle was intense to say the least. How could I have said some of the cruel things I did. I'm supposed to be willow, good, old reliable. We'll ,no time for worrying now. I'm here and they'll just have to bear with me.
"Hi guys!" I said excitement starting to bubble in my voice
"Willow, you can read the sign right? You don't know how many times these two have told me that you wouldn't be able to see it" I missed Xander so much!
"Of course I can read the sign. I love it to!" I couldn't help but engulf Xander in a huge hug.
"Great to have you back Will"
Now it was time to face Dawn. Oh god, it'll be fine Willow just don't worry. Great, now I'm having little chats with myself. Focus on Dawn now!
"Hi Dawnie!" She wouldn't be rude in front of Xander and Buffy, right?
"Willow" Well, that was just a tad hostile.
"How's school?" Hopefully this will be a better topic. I mean, I always had interesting stories when I was at Sunnydale High.
"It's on a hellmouth" That's all this little bitch has to say? Whoa, calm down. She obviously has a right to be mad.
"I know what you mean. It was crazy when I went to. It gets better though, I promise."
"Whatever." She just needs time to come around. It'll get there.
"Hey Buffy!" Buffy is mature. She can't possibly dismiss me like Dawn did.
"Hey Willow. How was England?" Finally a Summer's girl who's not so whiney and fucking annoying! Life was probably 10 times better without the whiney little other Summer's sister. Snap out of it! This is your best friend's little sister! You love her! Why am I feeling like this? I spent MONTHS in England. There can't possibly be no results!
"England was…helpful. It really helped me concentrate on my…emotions." Or so I thought.
"That's great." And, she sounded sincere.
"We better get going before we miss our ride home ,gang." Oh my gosh. It's been twenty minutes. Xander always comes through. Even if it's just reminding me of the time.
We all piled into the car. Everything was going fine. I told them about how beautiful England was and they shared they're encounters with some evil in the new Sunnydale high.
When we arrived back at the Summer's residence everyone scattered out of the car. Dawn mumbled something under her breath that I believe sounded like murderous slut.
And at that moment I swear I felt a flicker of black in my eyes.
