Diana paced the living room frantically her stomach showing her pregnancy bump hands wringing themselves furiously when they were stopped by a warm and surprisingly gentle hand.
"Hey we'll figure this out everything will be fine Diana." Gregory House said the one who was equally responsible for the situation at hand. "What are we going to do Greg?"
He made Diana sit down knowing stress would not help her or the baby especially now that she was off her meds. Before speaking again knowing his next words would send her on edge. "We put the baby up for adoption."
"What give my baby to strangers?." Diana shrieked. 'No I could never do that."
"It's the only option we have Diana your not well enough to take care of a child on your own and my work is to demanding." House said knowing the last one was an excuse because he was to afraid to raise a child.
Diana conceded to putting the baby up for adoption though her decision would drastically change when she finally gives birth.
"Come on Diana one more push baby's almost out." Encouraged the nurse House wasn't hear as he in Diana's opinion was to much of a coward to see his child be born especially since they were going to give it away.
Diana pushed with all the strength she had left and was happy and relieved a moment later to hear the sound of a baby crying.
The nurse cleaned up the baby who they had now informed her was a girl and wrapped her up in a towel before handing her to the exhausted mother.
A woman from the adoption agency they had picked out was there as well she smiled at the intimate exchange between mother and daughter before speaking. "You know it's not to change your mind?"
"No it's not." Diana whispered cuddling her daughter closer to her chest. "I'm keeping her." She decided firmly looking at the woman sharply she just nodded curtly and left the new mother in peace.
The nurse asked for the name to put on the birth certificate Diana smiled with pride as she announced her name. "Sasha House Jones."
The ER at PPTH was soon filled with rushed doctors and nurses as they rushed in a gunshot victim to the operating room a woman dressed eccentrically followed them closely before being stopped and told to she could go no further. She then sat down on the waiting room chairs slowly filling out the victims medical information tears staining her eyes as she did so.
The nurse collected the clipboard and information when she was done however something caught her eye or rather the middle name of the patient caught her eye. "Sasha House Reid." She whispered then shook her head Cuddy sure would like to hear about this excitement soon filled her eyes at the prospect of telling her and wondering what her reaction would be.
