I worked as an intern for Cartoon Network...It's been that way since...2014 or so,
It was January 2019 when i was working directly with the editors and animators.
I got to test view new episodes before they aired as you'd expect...
I used to work on the Cartoon Bunnicula as an editor for season 3, when there was
a problem that had pinned the series on an indefinite hiatus.
we received a DVD copy that was suppose to be the 25th episode of season 3,
However when me and the other test viewers put it in the dvd player...
that's when things went down the rabbit hole...(no pun intended)
After the intro it cut to a black screen with purple text that read: Vampire Instincts
It then cut to the sun setting above The Orlock Apartments but it looked like it was in an abandoned state...
It cut to the Apartments' cellar and Bunnic's Chamber his casket opened revealing him sleeping upside down much like in the intro, when he opened his eyes...
They were completely red with no pupils...
We found that really odd but we continued.
It then showed Chester curled up asleep on The Monroe's couch with an odd Bunnicula shadow leaning over him...
...What was odd was the ears on the shadow were more horn like.
another odd thing was that a faint crying could be heard in the background, it sounded like Mina.
It then showed the Monroe's kitchen and Harold was seen lumped on the floor extremely skinny,
and flabby as if was drained of all his solids and liquids, it then dawned on us...
he was Deceased...
We stopped the disc and almost immediately called Mrs. Borutski and Mr. Atoms.
Once they arrived they were confused and wanted to know what was going on
And we played the disc again, This time it cut to a white screen with black text that said: He's getting hungry...
It then showed Chester again but it was shown in CGI for some reason, he was on a medieval torture rack unconscious in the cellar with a ball gag in his mouth...
with a mischievous Laughter in the background.
It then cut to Mina's bedroom with a silhouette under the covers...
the camera cut to a view directly over the bed and suddenly the covers flew off revealing a skeleton in Mina's clothing...
her clothes were torn...
It cut to Bunnicula (still with solid red eyes) as he sunk his fangs into what looked to be Lugosi's dead body...with blood dripping from it.
It cut back to the CGI...Chester was starting to wake up,
confused until he noticed several skeletons laying on the cellar floors.
He tried screaming but couldn't because of the gag.
Bunnic then came out from the shadows flying and landed in front of Chester...and to our surprise...he began to speak proper english...
"I know you must be shocked Chester, but trust me it was nothing personal" he said almost reassuringly.
"It's been so long since i've tasted blood...my instincts started to take over."
Chester was now terrified with tears running down his face.
"Don't worry though...I have something else planned for you..." Bunnic said as he took out a steak knife from the shadows
He then made a medium sized cut with the knife on Chester's head,
And after coating his tongue with saliva...gave the wound a sloppy lick.
He then took out a book with a pentagram on it and began to chant in his usual gibberish causing Chester to violently twitch.
It went on for a full minute when the twitching stopped and Chester's eyes began turning completely red.
Bunnic then freed Chester from the rack and undid the gag.
"There that wasn't so bad was it?" Bunnic said satisfied.
"You are my minion now Chester...Is that understood?" he asked.
"Yes Master..." Chester replied in a monotone voice.
The scene then switched to 2D with the two outside the apartment.
"Let's go find more victims" Bunnic said with a hungry tone...he readied his wing ears and flew off into the night with Chester following behind him and the episode ended...
Both Borutski and Atoms were both angry and demanded to know what the hell they just watched. we then showed the full episode to them...
we still to this day have no idea who is responsible for the episode...we talked to the main voice cast and they had no idea about the episode...We came to the conclusion that someone must have swapped the episode with their own messed up creation. I now work as a janitor at CN after that...I still don't know if the show is going to continue or not...nor do i know what they did with the disc...all i know is i just couldn't handle anymore test viewings after that.
