So, I was listening to the thunderstorm outside my house when I thought of this…it probably doesn't make any sense…but I don't care!

Enjoy!

Yugi giggled and ran outside, pulling Yami along with him. "Come on! Come on!" He laughed again and twirled around, drops of rain hitting his face as he spun.

"Yugi, it's raining." Yami had stayed underneath the awning of the game shop, watching his aibou with amusement.

"Yes, I know!"

The pure joy in that one sentence brought a small smile to the other boy's face. "You're going to catch a cold."

"But I haven't yet!" The hikari ran forward and grabbed Yami's arm. "Come on! I have to show you something!"

Shaking his head, Yami took in the fact that neither of them had coats or umbrella. He pulled lightly on Yugi, trying to get him back inside. "Can it wait, Yugi? It's pouring."

"I know! That's the point!" The smaller shook his head and laughed, tugging harder at Yami, finally getting the reluctant boy to come into the rain with him.

The yami frowned, sighing as he started to jog to keep up with Yugi, who had started to run ahead. Instead of calming, the rain only seemed to pour down harder. "Aibou! Where are we going?"

There was no reply, and Yami frowned at being ignored. His hikari continued to pull him further away from the warm, dry safety of the game shop. Blinking as the sky lit up abruptly, the boy looked up just in time to see a streak of light disappearing from the sky. A loud clap of thunder followed, echoing through the air.

Yugi laughed, not pausing as they reached the park and went off the beaten path. He led the other through the trees expertly, knowing exactly where he was going. Even though both their shoes and clothes were soaked through with rain and mud, the smaller did not let up. The older looked down at their joined hands, smiling for a moment before a chill ran down his spine.

"Yugi? We really should head back if we don't want to catch a cold." Yami tripped over a fallen branch and almost went face-first into the mud before he quickly recovered and continued after his hikari.

"Hurry, Yami!"

His eye twitched at being ignored again, but Yami followed the determined Yugi into the center of a clearing. The small field would have been nice if it hadn't been raining, but by now there was a torrent of rain coming down. The blue and white flowers that were scattered across the meadow were weighed down by water and any wildlife that might have been here was safe in their burrows.

"Okay, mou hitori no boku! We're here!" Yugi abruptly sat down, pulling Yami down with him.

He winced as he felt the bottom of his pants get soaked in the mud and water. Not that it really mattered considering they were basically drenched anyways. The boy sighed, looking over at the smaller. "Yugi…"

Blinking as a finger reached out to touch his lips, effectively shutting him up, he let out an annoyed huff. Yugi smiled like an imp, before turning to look up at the sky. Yami followed his gaze, his eyes widening as the sky lit up.

Jagged streaks of lightning cut across the sky, sparking against the dark rain clouds. Yugi gasped, pointing out another strike that had appeared in the sky. Even the rain became enchanting, something that had been a nuisance before was suddenly beautiful. Enthralled by nature's show, the yami didn't even want to blink in case he missed something.

A loud clap followed a few seconds later, and Yami stiffened as the boy next to him snuggled against his shoulder. He looked down in surprise, but Yugi was still staring at the sky, a content expression on his face even as the rain streaked down it. The boy hid a small sigh as he looked up again as well, letting his thoughts wander. His other half was so cute, it almost hurt.

Yugi sighed, his shoulders relaxing as the rain poured down around them. His hair was starting to get a little heavy; it was drooping under the weight of the water. Yami's eyes wandered to the Yugi's small hand as the boy reached up to wipe away a drop that had fallen close to his eye. Mouth opening slightly at the sight of another burst of lightning, Yugi watched the sky with complete fascination.

Adorable… The yami blinked, the rumbling of thunder reaching his ears. Turning to look up at the sky as well, Yami leaned more towards his other half. He had always known that Yugi was cuter than most, but that wasn't all. The smaller was funny and determined and…perfect. Slowly letting out a breath, Yami closed his eyes against the raindrops that would've hit them. When had these feelings started? It seemed like it had always been this way, but somehow it had gotten stronger without him noticing. The older smiled to himself at the realization. He loved his hikari.

Unknown to Yami, he was now under examination. As the boy lifted his head to watch the lightning, Yugi let his eyes glance over. The light from the sky seemed to make the other's face shine and it was beautiful. If only he could know what Yami was thinking right now. But his yami always seemed to close off the mind link at times like these.

He sighed as the rain slowly started to let up, knowing the storm would be ending. The rain stopped soon after he had thought that and the hikari reluctantly stood up. Yugi attempted to brush off most of the mud – not accomplishing much – before reaching a hand out to the still-seated Yami. Sometimes it hurt to know his other self would never love him back, but it was okay as long as they were together.

Yami smirked and took the extended hand, but instead of using it to stand up, he pulled Yugi down to the ground with him. The boy let out a squeak as he tumbled forward, landing on top of Yami.

Feeling a blush start to form on his face, the hikari tried to prevent his thoughts from going down to the gutter. "So-Sorry, mou hitori no boku! I didn't know you would pull that hard!" Yugi tried to get up, but the hands that had wrapped around his waist prevented him from doing so. The smaller looked back down at that smirking face and his blush spread.

Yami felt a ball of satisfaction in his stomach at seeing that blush and felt his smirk widen. Pushing Yugi lightly, he rolled them sideways until he was on top. But then he was pushed back, and the yami continued rolling.

When Yugi had felt the older start to push, his mind went into overdrive. Just the thought of Yami hovering over him made his knees go weak. So, he had made it into a game. The two continued to roll, neither letting the other get on top, until they were at the edge of the clearing. Jumping up and running to hide behind a nearby tree, Yugi laughed as he peeked around it to see his other half.

They were both soaked to the bone, but they didn't pay it any mind as they ran through the park chasing each other. There was no one else around so soon after a shower, so they had free roam of the entire place.

It was a while later that they made it back to the game shop, and the two grinned at each as they took off their muddy shoes outside. Grandpa would throw a fit if he saw their clothes, so it was best not to track mud in as well. Yugi held up a hand to hide the laugh at the sight of Yami's messed up hair, before reaching out to fix it. The boy grabbed Yugi's wrist before he could, pulling the surprised hikari towards him once again. Suddenly, the two were close enough that their noses touch and their breaths mixed.

Yami swallowed, regretting the action as soon as he had made it. Even though the boy had told himself he would confess, it didn't make the situation any easier. He stared down at the confused Yugi and his resolve hardened. It was now or never, Yami would not let the younger slip through his fingers.

Sucking in a breath as the link opened, Yugi's eyes widened as his yami leaned down and kissed him. Even his dreams couldn't match up to the real feelings of tender love and hope washing over him. The boy's eyes fluttered as he basked, slowly melting into the other's lips. Just as he thought the kiss would end, Yami started to walk backwards until the smaller was against the wall, and began to kiss more passionately.

Yugi blinked his eyes open in shock as a tongue brushed against his lips, meeting darkened crimson. Timidly, not entirely sure of what he was doing, the hikari opened his mouth and tangled his tongue with a more than eager Yami. He moaned, quickly overwhelmed as the yami swept his tongue inside his mouth. This was only first kiss! How good did his yami expect him to be?

Feeling more than seeing the smirk on Yami's face, the younger let out a shaky breath as his other half slowly pulled away, his teeth dragging out Yugi's lower lip. He leaned against the wall for more support, feeling his cheeks burn.

Watching as his hikari tried to catch his breath, Yami let out a chuckle. "I assume you liked it, Aibou?"

"Maybe…" Please, just because he kind of might be just a little dazed from that kiss, didn't mean he couldn't tease a little. "But I think we should go to my room and find out for sure."

The yami's jaw clenched as Yugi pressed his body up, making it perfectly clear what he was saying. Wasn't his partner supposed to be innocent? Yami watched the smirk grow on the boy's face, before violet eyes examined him from head to toe.

Yugi could almost laugh at the stunned expression his yami's face, but that would ruin the moment. He walked past Yami and into the shop, swaying his hips in the way he had seen Mai and Tea do. Soft and subtle, but enough to show that there was definitely something there.

He had to bit his cheek from laughing as he heard Yami almost running into the door after him, it was good to know who exactly was in charge. Sprinting lightly to the stairs, Yugi called out to his grandfather. "Grandpa! I'm doing homework, so don't come in my room for a while, m'kay?"

"Alright, Yugi, just remember you still have to do your chores!"

But Yugi was in his room by that time, and Yami was sucking and kissing his neck, fiddling with the mud-covered shirt clinging to the smaller's body. The room suddenly seemed too hot, like a sauna. Yugi whimpered, which only seemed to fuel the other more.

The two had made their way across the room, before Yami paused. "You sure, Aibou?" He needed to ask, before they got too far.

Smiling lightly, Yugi pulled the yami forward, making them fall onto the bed. "Positive."
