Outside the walls of Trolberg, where trolls and giants roam lies a house.
The house is nothing special at first glance. You might see it be made of wood, and have two simple windows, with one simple door. Like most houses, it has a roof, and like most houses, it has a few rooms to stay in. The house is one story and appears to be normal when you first step inside. It has everything that qualifies as a house.
But this is no ordinary house, nor is it a safe haven for any wandering traveler who comes upon it. The house in the woods holds a dark secret. A secret that isn't clear with just one visit. The house is made of magic. And this magic that roams upon the house traps its victims inside it for eternity. Anyone who steps inside may find themselves never coming back out.
But the house isn't invincible, for our good friend Hilda has proven us. It can be escaped from, and you can find a way out of its evil clutches if you just try hard enough. Some simply wish their way home, while others attempt to overload the houses magic.
It may be surprising to longtime readers, but Hilda was not the only wanderer who had entered the house. Many before and after her had stumbled upon it one way or another. Some survived and made their way out. While others sadly passed on within its clutches.
