Chapter 1: Starting Line

"When I count to ten I'll be happy again..."

Our story begins in the woman's toilets at work, where Retsuko is calming herself down to prevent herself from going absolutely mental from the stresses of her normal day (which, of course, are usually terrible).

She had been put upon many stressful events, being squeezed in a train, talking to Tsunoda, only to then hear Kabae talk about whatever nonsense she'll spout out only to served with a medium sized to go order of "Wanna see pictures of my grandson?". Oh, and we should definitely not forget the main course, Mr Ton's scolding over doing something like how she's not apparently good enough or just making his tea wrong. And last but not least, the hint of Tsubone just being quite harsh.

Luckily for Retsuko, she's on her break. Thank the heavens. Now she could have a brief and peaceful moment with her good friends. Better make it last.

"Selfie, dessert, latte art, selfie, dessert, latte art, selfie..." Fenneko was just being Fenneko, taking in literally everything on sight in Tsunoda's feed, like a machine processing data (with that mechanical laugh to boot). After hearing Retsuko approach close she stopped to greet her.

"Hey Retsuko, so how's your day?" she'd then ask, already knowing the answer anyway.

"Terrible..." Bingo, she said it.

"Well, why don't you go and drink it off with us? I'm sure it could help." the tall lanky hyena that was Haida stated.

To which the red panda replied with...

"Actually, I'm thinking of walking somewhere nice and quite. Would you both like to join?"

Well, this was kinda new to Haida and Fenneko. But they went along with it.

"Alright, it wouldn't hurt." Fenneko casually stated after a few seconds from that.

"...Okay" Haida muttered.

"I'll see you at 8:30 at night, just near the noodle shop.

8:30PM

"Okay, and why are we here again?" Fenneko became quite curious in this decision, and Haida is also question what exactly he could do around here other than grab a bowl of course.

"I don't know really, I just feel like going for a walk wherever I just go. A bit of variety to the mix. Plus it's a lot more quite around here-"

And just when she was about to finish that one sentence, a blur streak of light flash before the trio's very own eyes. It headed towards their way and crashed in the building right beside the noodle shop. It created a big loud ringing noise as if a flashbang blew up. Retsuko and Fenneko were standing there shaking, speechless whilst Haida was lying on the floor whimpering like he was an actual dog.

After the loud noise had cleared up, Retsuko turned around to see what had crashed, only to see the silhouette stand up and hold it's strangely large and spiky head with one of it's hands.

"Woah, where am I?"

And that concludes chapter one of my very first story. I do hope to start this off strong with a good couple of chapters. Feel free to down down a review.
