"Noone will miss me, Axel." Roxas stated, his cruel tone breaking Axel's nonexistent heart.
"That's not true Roxas. I would miss you." Roxas stopped and turned. "I don't believe you."
Axel stepped forward, standing directly in front of Roxas. Tears were threatening in his eyes. "I love you." His hand cupped Roxas's face. Roxas's mask faltered as he closed his eyes and leaned into the touch. "We can't love."
"Then why do I love you? And why do you love me?" Axel pulled Roxas to him. "Please... Don't leave me." Roxas hugged him, pulled back and kissed him, and walked away.
"Sora's waiting for me."
"Roxas... made me feel like I had a heart." he chuckled. "He kept it beating." Sora's face filled with sadness.
"Axel, you could still be saved." Sora said, desperate for the nobody who had cared for his own.
"You're Roxas's somebody." He smiled. "Tell him I love him."
And he was gone.
"Roxy, you make me feel like I have a heart." Axel smiled at his best friend.
Roxas looked up from his ice cream. "Sap." He chuckled.
"And you, me."
Axel leaned over, pecking the teen on the cheek. "What does a heartbeat feel like?"
Roxas thought... he couldn't remember. He felt echoes of it, now. "Good."
Axel smiled. "Roxas," he reached out, placing Roxas's hand over his chest. "Keep my heart beating."
Awh. Poor Axel, fading away like that. Helpess Sora.
